Position Overview
Our client is seeking an Attorney for its Bankruptcy Department, admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Georgia. The attorney in this role will oversee and collaborate with support staff in drafting and reviewing all documentation related to bankruptcy matters. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including plan confirmation, motions for relief, contested matters, adversary proceedings, and related legal proceedings. The position may require travel to courts throughout Georgia as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
- Review statutorily required notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes efficiently.
- Attend and argue motions and hearings before Georgia courts.
- Participate in mediation sessions.
- Provide legal counsel to clients throughout the bankruptcy process.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Qualifications:
