The Medtech team currently covers 35-listed companies across a broad range of industries and subsectors within the medical technology sector including cardiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, diabetes, surgical robotics, general surgery, neurosurgery and several others. In addition to coverage of publicly traded companies, the team regularly vets a number of private device companies for potential IPOs.
The candidate for the position should be intellectually curious and have a deep desire to learn. Although neither a basic science or direct medical background is required, it is very desirable as it shortens the learning curve and facilitates communication with companies and clients. Given the team's heavy vetting load and fast-paced nature of the medical device information cycle, the candidate should also have some experience with financial modeling and quantitative analysis, as well as strong verbal communication and writing skills.
The ideal candidate possesses experience in Healthcare sell-side research or healthcare investment banking with a medical degree or medical or industry background. Medical areas of experience that are most valuable would be cardiovascular interventional medicine and diabetes.
The candidate will work alongside Senior Analysts and Associates in all aspects of the research process, from idea generation to modeling, including but not limited to the following:

MicroHealth will support the Medical Device System Security (MDSS) PMO for NCR Directorate of Defense Health Agency (DHA), specifically Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) and Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC).

Responsibilities

• Work requires knowledge of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) policies and procedures to assist with coordinating healthcare technology and property requirements in compliance with DHA policies and procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Pulmonary Function Technologist II (PFT) independently provides all modes of pulmonary function testing as ordered by a physician, assists with bronchoscopies, interventional bronchoscopies and other invasive procedures, and monitors and recovers patients after treatment.

EDUCATION:

Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Program.
Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC.
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in Vermont.
Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist within one year of hire date.
Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist, preferred.
Current BLS and ACLS certification

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of experience in a PFT lab preferred.
Bronchoscopy, Interventional Bronchoscopy and Cardio-Pulmonary Stress testing preferred

SHIFT NOTE:

9-hour shifts - 4 days per week, rotating late days to support bronchoscopy procedures.

SIGN ON BONUS:

External candidates are eligible for up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus for experience under 3 years, up to $0,000 for individuals with more than three years of experience. Current employees of the UVM Health Network are not eligible for this bonus. Additional terms and conditions apply.
