Emergency Medicine (CDU schedules are a combination of days and nights, 7a-7p and 7p-7a, and 12 shifts per month. The ED works 9 to 10 hour shifts, a combination of days and nights, and est. 16 shifts per month)

Emergency physicians provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages arriving to the emergency department. Their primary job functions are to resuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them to the appropriate medical departments. Emergency physicians collaborate with physicians of other specialties as well as other members of the emergency department staff. Emergency physicians must evaluate a wide variety of ailments, sometimes with little to no information. They must be able to think and act quickly to make a tentative diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of treatment.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out immediate evaluation and management of emergency patients that are brought in for treatment.
2. Evaluate patient to determine the patient's condition in an efficient and productive manner so as to maintain the flow of the department.
3. Request the appropriate medical tests and based on them, follow a treatment plan.
4. Develop effective patient care plans.
5. Refer patients to the appropriate specialists.
6. Ensure that patients are stable before transferring them to the proper department for further evaluation.
7. Provide instructions for discharge and any relevant paperwork, including prescriptions.
8. Maintain the patient's medical records.
9. Coordinate with different departments to ensure patients receive the necessary treatment.
10. Complete patient charts in EPIC within 72 hours of seeing patient.
11. Review and co-sign charts received from the APC within 72 hours of receiving the chart.
12. Provide monthly schedule availability within time frame established.
13. Maintain licenses, required certificates and education; including Bayhealth annual education.
14. Review all medical (laboratory and radiology) reports concerning patients.
15. Should attend staff and committee meetings unless working, post night or late evening shifts or have an excused absence.
16. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

The Health System Project Manager needs to have depth of expertise and an ability to navigate and work on behalf of the enterprise UW Medicine system. They will be essential for UW Medicine to achieve its mission to improve the health of the public.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead and oversee the Clinical Strategic Planning efforts and Clinical Strategic Growth Programs
- Integrate the Clinical Strategic Planning efforts into the existing Strategic Planning Department
- Provides project management for development/implementation of key initiatives and enterprise critical projects. Monitors and manages key deliverables of the associated initiatives.

The Director will collaborate closely with Baystate's Revenue Cycle leadership and Huron's senior team to drive performance improvements, implement best practices, and support strategic initiatives that enhance financial outcomes and operational efficiency.
KEY JOB DUTIES:
+ Guides and directs subordinate supervisors/managers on the Coding team.
+ Develops and implements policy and procedure recommendations to meet the needs of the Health and Hospital System and its patients.
+ Oversees preparation of the budget for areas of responsibility and participates in the preparation of the annual Health and Hospital System budget.
+ Prepares annual statement of goals and objectives in collaboration with subordinates.
+ Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, local government, and private industry mandates.
+ Ensures staff are aware and compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, etc.
+ Analyzes and identifies coding service needs to determine appropriate action and make recommendations for problem resolution or procedural changes as needed.
+ Identifies issues, risks, barriers, and opportunities for improvement related to set responsibility area.
+ Analyzes, interprets, and summarizes pertinent coding data components, and monitor performance against Key Performance Indicators.
+ Develops professional and technical skill set in subordinate staff and develop ongoing training and education materials for staff and patient education.
+ Supervises, trains, develops, and motivates subordinate staff.
+ Performs related duties as required.
REQURIED SKILLS:
+ Effective and efficient organization and planning skills with the proven ability to manage complex multi-workstream performance improvement projects or multiple concurrent client engagements, while delegating and overseeing the work of junior team members.
+ Proven analytical and critical thinking skills required to synthesize complex data sets and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and trends to implement recommendations resulting in measurable performance improvement and successful organizational change.
+ Impactful and professional written and verbal communication set clear project team direction, develop key deliverables, escalate risks, and influence key stakeholders inclusive of client and internal senior leadership.
+ Ability to collaborate with team members and client counterparts to understand business challenges, adapt implementation methodologies and approaches to ensure results align with client's business objectives.
+ Team leadership experience including building talent, training, supervising, coaching/mentoring, and performance management.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
+ Bachelor's degree required
+ _Required certifications:_ CCS
+ Direct Supervisory Experience required
+ 8+ years of Coding operations experience
+ Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
+ Cerner system experience preferred
_The estimated salary range for this job is $130,000 - $170,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy and Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future._
