Benefits Administration:
• Build strong relationship with broker firm to stay up to date on industry best practices and plan options. Research available plans and offering options, partner with Leadership and make recommendations to owners prior to annual benefit renewal.
• Responsible for ensuring all benefit enrollment and termination items are processed and documented monthly in a timely fashion as well as all responses to employee inquiries.
• Responsible for coordinating and partnering with the Payroll Department on processes shared by Payroll/HR
Workers' Compensation:
• Ensures safety of the workforce meets required guidelines and standards.
• Facilitate proper coding (advise Payroll and request additional codes as needed)
• Work with broker and carrier on claim resolution, renewals, and audits
• Handle full cycle claims processing including engaging with medical facilities, creating procedures and maintaining process documents, internal staff training, and employee resolutions.
401(k) Plan:
• Responsible for facilitating and managing entry period tasks, annual reporting, payroll coordination, distribution activities, and advisory meetings by given deadlines.
• Facilitate employee education sessions, responses to employee inquiries, plan documentation and procedures.
Unemployment Insurance:
• Ensures Unemployment Insurance claims and costs are monitored and reported regularly.
• UI Claims - Ensure HR's timely response to each claim i.e. validate, log, confirm, dispute, report and closure.
• Ensure requests for Information are processed within 48 hours
Employment Law:
• Stay current with all employment related laws and requirements (HIPPA, FCRA etc.) and update leadership during regularly scheduled meetings.
• Complete Adverse Actions for background check process by maintaining matrix and Legal Action logs, documenting conversations and maintaining company policies. Discuss changes or challenges with leadership as needed.
• Responsible for updating and e-posting of Employee Handbook by consulting with Attorney and SPS leadership team as needed.
• Responsible for processing subpoenas, requests for information, lawsuits, legal notices, and working with company and insurance carrier law firms to provide all information for company defense.
• Manage all employee requests for leave and facilitate all proper documentation within required timelines maintaining up to date processes.
Reporting to Executive Team:
• Report proactive cost savings opportunities and current data trends related to WC, Unemployment Insurance, Terminations, Benefits and Employee Relations challenges.
• Report Health Benefit Enrollment (New Enrollments, Termination of Benefits, Total Number Enrolled).
• Share summary report on Functions, Seminars and Training attended (How we may apply at SPS)
• Notification of any new laws impacting business activities
Qualifications:
• Proven ability to deliver 5 Star Customer Service to our internal and external customers on a daily basis
• Proven Adverse claim processing experience
• Proven Fiduciary success and awareness
• Staffing industry experience preferred
• Paychex and payroll experience helpful
• Creative Thinker
• Ability to engage and partner with all employees and management
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong knowledge of Federal, local and multi-state Employment and Wage & Hour Laws

- Provide day-to-day customer service by responding to teammate benefit and leave of absence inquiries via Workday Help Ticketing system, email, and phone
- Manage Workday To-Do box to approve or deny teammate New Hire Events, Qualifying Life Event, Job Status Change Event, Bereavement PTO, and Jury Duty PTO
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping within Workday and Benefits drive for teammate documentation
- Process Medical Support Orders, including enrolling dependents into health coverage as required
- Process state-required Workers Compensation and State Disability forms as needed
- Communicate with GM/DM regarding teammates' current leave status and expected return-to-work date
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as needed
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Employee Benefits and Leave of Absence experience (Workday experience is a plus)
- Exceptional communication skills, detail-oriented, able to work autonomously, and adaptable to shifting priorities
- Eager to learn, professional, and reliable
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and data entry

Exciting opportunity at Creation Technologies! We're looking for a Benefits Administrator to join our growing team in Boston. In this hybrid role (up to 3 days/week in-office), you'll play a key part in managing and enhancing our global employee benefits programs. - Assist employees, managers and HR colleagues in resolving benefits issues by working with our vendors, broker and internal Workday Support Team.
- Provide support and guidance for processing all benefits transactions through Workday.
- Review & resolve Workday integration issues relating to benefits data integrations as needed.
- Support the new hire onboarding process by providing information on benefits, the enrollment process, and follow up to ensure deadlines are not missed.
- Support the annual Open Enrollment process.
- Maintain the employee intranet with all information related to employee benefits. This will also include our mini website created through a tool called Embark and used during Open Enrollment.
- Assist in developing employee benefit communication materials.
- Support the benefit plan funding for all of our benefit programs by ensuring all payments are made timely and accurately. Assist with the maintenance of the dashboard for benefits expenses.
- Work with our corporate accounting team to perform month end reconciliation and trouble shoot any discrepancies.
- Other duties as identified.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Economics, Finance, or other relevant field.
- 0-2 years of experience in Human Resources or similar type of function.
- Must have solid Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint skills. Workday experience preferred.
- Must be detailed oriented, precise and have the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- General understanding of compliance requirements for U.S. federal and states (i.e. ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA) and Canada provincial is preferred.
