**PURPOSE**
The Medical Systems Lead is a cross-functional leader who will develop and execute long term strategic roadmap for Medical systems to ensure US and Field Medical Affairs impact, execution, innovation, data driven decision making, and of utmost importance impactful customer engagement. This will be accomplished through matrix leadership responsibilities both within and outside of US Medical Affairs.
This role is part of a collaborative matrix team which partners across Medical Customer Engagement, Digital & Analytics teams, Therapeutic Area MSL teams, Field Medical Excellence team, Customer Engagement, Commercial Operations, and other USMA and Commercial stakeholders to provide leadership and guidance to Field Medical and USMA team members driving both Medical Affairs and Customer Squad strategy, goals, objectives, and correlating activities related to new ways of working, customer engagement, data driven decision making, and Medical Affairs impact.
The Medical Systems Lead provides leadership and insight towards relevant USMA and Field Medical customer engagement components (data requirements and evaluation, Field Medical impact measurement, resource needs, Field Medical insights, MedCRM requirements, etc.)

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Leadership**
+ Lead development and execution of strategic roadmap for all Medical systems including Veeva systems and capabilities. Ensure deliberate selection and timing of any functionality rollout to Field Medical teams;
+ Represent US Medical Affairs in all relevant US and Global discussions focused on Medical systems, capabilities, and planning;
+ Drive Field Excellence through evolution and standardization of systems, tools, and processes;
+ Ensure Field Medical / end user perspective is included in strategic planning / discussions. Drive two-way feedback between end users and capability clusters;
+ Lead prioritization of capabilities, guidance, and features rolled out to Field Medical in alignment with Customer Engagement Leaders and stakeholders;
+ Lead the coordination, organization, and execution of Training for Field Medical / USMA on Veeva processes and capabilities. Ensure seamless new hire and enduring system training and deployment for Field Medical and USMA (as relevant) team members. Partnership with other key stakeholders to develop plan for execution of Veeva training components;
+ Lead partnership with Global and US teams to correct issues and implement system upgrades;
+ Provide active input and guidance to focused 90 day priorities for team within US Medical Affairs;
+ Responsible for leading and driving transformation and change management within Field Medical team regarding new ways of working, system capabilities, consistency and harmonization in data entry, and functionality to drive impactful data driven decision making, efficiency in daily work, and impactful customer engagement.
**Collaboration / Strategic Partnerships**
+ Active input, alignment, and execution of initiatives supporting system and platform identified outcomes with all relevant stakeholders;
+ Strong collaboration with C3C and content leads ensuring seamless Content Factory and C3C process and output;
+ Lead strong partnership with Back Office / Commercial Operations ensuring long term strategic partnership;
+ Strong partnership with other stakeholders to ensure connection and alignment of Bayer systems (MIIDAS, Mont Blanc, etc.);

**New Ways of Working (Data collection / analysis / interpretation)**
+ Continuous evaluation of current ways of working, capabilities, and functionality to support journey to be the best in class Field Medical and US Medical Affairs organization;
+ In collaboration with stakeholders, identify Field Medical and USMA system gaps and needs for improvement and cocreate prioritized solutions;
+ Drive innovation within US Medical Affairs through adoption and implementation of relevant system capabilities and functionality;
+ Drive accountability of Field Medical team to strategically leverage and implement new ways of working to meet HCP and Area Business Unit needs including platforms, systems, & subsequent capabilities. Train, mentor, and empower Field Medical team to expand usage of new ways of working;
+ Provides input towards key Field Medical strategy and requirements for Medical system / platform needs, data requirements, data analysis, etc. (i.e. MedCRM, US Dashboards, Medical insights, etc.);
+ Lead ongoing evolution and consistent approach to customer database components such as In Focus lists, segmentation, media/content use, territory planning, etc.

Position Summary

The Medical Systems Analyst  is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing healthcare data solutions that enhance clinical and operational performance. This role works cross-functionally with clinical, administrative, and IT stakeholders to translate healthcare data into actionable insights, ensure data integrity, and support decision-making processes. The analyst will work closely with tools like Power BI, SQL, Athenahealth, Snowflake, and Databricks to manage the full analytics lifecycle—from data integration to visualization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT stakeholders to assess needs and deliver effective healthcare data and reporting solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support clinical, operational, and financial performance.
  • Build, test, and optimize ETL pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
  • Analyze healthcare datasets using Athena and other systems to identify trends, utilization patterns, and quality measures.

Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications

The Austin Spurs Medical Systems Assistant is responsible for working alongside the Head Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive healthcare, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance support for all athletes on the Austin Spurs roster. The role also involves coordinating care for two-way players in conjunction with the San Antonio Spurs medical staff. This position supports all medical and performance protocols, assists in planning daily team activities, and medical logistics. This role demands high-level collaboration, proactive communication, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Head Athletic Trainer with all aspects of injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play strategies for the Austin Spurs roster.
  • Support arrangement and transportation of player medical appointments as required.
  • Execute and document all NBA and G League medical protocols, including injury reporting, physicals, baseline testing, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with team physicians and external medical providers for exams, diagnostics, specialist referrals, and treatments.
  • Serve as assistant game day medical provider, including pre- and post-game care, court-side management, and emergency response.
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, transport, and budgeting of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Assist the planning, coordinating, and executing team travel logistics, including communication with staff, scheduling, itineraries, and medical/travel documentation.
  • Support collaboration with Human Resources and Finance for workers' compensation, insurance processing, and vendor invoicing.
  • Serve as a liaison with the San Antonio Spurs medical and performance staff to ensure seamless continuity of care for two-way and assignment players.
  • Support San Antonio Spurs medical and performance staff with duties as assigned outside of Austin Spurs season.
  • Assist Summer League staff playing a primary role as an athletic trainer for Summer league competitions (e.g., California classics, Las Vegas).

Who You Are:

  • NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
  • Licensed (or eligible) as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Texas.
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Recommended 1–2 years of experience working with elite level athletes.
  • Holding as well, a Physical Therapy degree and active licensure is highly valued and considered a strong asset for this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel extensively.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in dynamic sport environments.

**Compensation:** Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay range for this position is $12 per hour plus $- 8 per hour in tips.

**Education:**
