Cushman & Wakefield is looking for a dynamic Director of Bid Management to spearhead our sales-driven initiatives targeting the occupier + Investor audience within the commercial real estate sector across Asia Pacific. Our Bid Managers play a key part in achieving our objectives and this pivotal role will focus on driving revenue by supporting high value pitches through a client-focused approach.
The Director of Bid Management is expected to drive the development of a market-leading platform, actively support the growth of Cushman & Wakefields strategic direction and enhance our client offer & win percentage. This will involve the management of complex global and regional bids and support of less complex bids where appropriate, as well as the development of outstanding bid practices. This role is also responsible for the supervision and development of staff and development of good practices across the APAC Bid Team plus connecting the wider APAC Bid community.

  • The role must identify and strategically plan for the further development of a market-leading and successful pursuit management operation

Leadership

  • Leadership role of the APAC bid function, providing active support and insight to the Enterprise sales teams
  • Strategic insight on improvements to our opportunity generation process, including positioning, qualification and pursuit;
  • Management of a change program to aid the development on a highly successful Enterprise Solutions team;
  • Champion market-leading processes;
  • Serving as an ambassador for best practice bid management;

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Develop the proposal plan, schedule, outline, and resource plan

  • Review draft proposal artifacts to improve quality

  • Ensure timely, effective proposal kickoffs, color teams, peer reviews, and leadership reviews

  • Collaborate with other Raytheon stakeholders (e.g., pricing, supply chain, contracts)

  • Communicate proposal requirements and status to senior management

  • Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions

  • Domestic travel up to 25% to support proposals

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 12 years proposal and/or business development experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum of 10 years' experience

  • 10+ years of creating and delivering winning proposals

  • Experience managing prime competitive and sole source bids over $200M in Total Full Value as primary Proposal Manager

  • Experience managing at least two high-priority bid pursuits simultaneously

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master's Degree (Engineering, IT, Business, or other relevant discipline)

  • Proposal management and/or project management certification (e.g., ACE ProM Certification, APMP, PMP)

+ Strong grasp of all elements that go into cost/pricing effort, including refinement of cost-related elements to meet Price to Win targets
+ Lead or participate in Functional and Executive Level Reviews to successful approval
+ Deliver compliant, responsive, error-free, professional-quality, winning-level proposals within the customer-defined timeframe
+ Support capture of post-submittal proposal team lessons learned
+ Lead proposal team in preparing Best and Final Offers (BAFOs) and Final Proposal Responses (FPRs), as requested
Basic Hiring Criteria:
+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
+ Demonstrated experience in developing relationships with internal and external customers while creating and guiding highly effective proposal teams
+ Excellent performance in organizing and motivating diverse teams to come together as one in the pursuit of winning
+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a large distributed business, managing diverse tasks, requirements, and competing commitments

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
