The Operations Specialist - Animal Logistics is responsible for the management of oversight of animal colonies, which includes assignment of study reservations, monitoring of census levels, and coordination of routine animal monitoring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Responsible for the assignment of reservations against animals held in stock colony.
+ Responsible for ensuring census levels are maintained at a suitable level which supports study demand.
+ Communicates census needs or challenges with line management in a timely manner.
+ Works creatively and collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure efficient and optimal use of stock animals.
+ Keeps clear and precise records at all times to ensure that stock animals are used appropriately, especially with consideration of washout periods.
+ Works to coordinate the acclimation/habituation of all animals for appropriate study use.
+ Tracks use of stock animals such that they are used for an appropriate period of time and offers recommendations for retirement as necessary.
+ High degree of computer competency (e.g., Smartsheet, PowerBI, Laboratory Information Management System).
+ Responsible for all record keeping associated with stock animals.
+ Ensures all records are maintained in a detailed and organized fashion such that they are inspection/client ready at any time.
+ Ensures all stock animals are maintained for health and habituation needs to ensure prompt assignment to study.
+ Is capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders and troubleshoot through complex scheduling demands.
+ Review documentation of functions performed as part of colony management.

**Job Qualifications**
+ Education: High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.), required. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in biological science, preferred.
+ Experience: Minimum 2 years of applicable CRO experience in in-vivo operations or census/inventory management.
+ An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
+ Certification/Licensure: None, unless required by local government.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to achieve goals.

The Faculty Research Assistant ( FRA ) will work in the Department of Biological & Ecological Engineering ( BEE ) at Oregon State University. Incumbent will have expertise in web-based tool development and technology with applications in agricultural water management.
Incumbent will develop web-based tools and technologies to support more efficient agricultural water management and use in Oregon. This position will work with faculty across the college to 1) develop innovative tools utilizing spatial, statewide to field-scale datasets, 2) develop necessary computing techniques and infrastructure to support these tools. This position is part of a multi-pronged effort to provide innovative technical tools for ag producers to improve water management.

About PSFC:Psychedelic Science Funders Collaborative (PSFC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, supports research on and clinical trials of physician-prescribed psychedelic medicines and patient access to these treatments. Emerging research indicates that psychedelics have the potential to be a breakthrough in treating PTSD, depression, addiction, and other conditions. PSFC was born in 2017 out of a realization that psychedelic medicine has the potential to make an enormous impact and has an achievable path to regulatory approval, but has been systemically underfunded. Since PSFCs founding, we have grown into a community of many of the leading funders of psychedelic medicine supporting organizations at the cutting edge of psychedelic research with funding and expert support.
We operate as a flexible network to:
- Identify and evaluate high-impact funding opportunities in psychedelic medicine
- Provide advisory support to scientists and organizations in the psychedelic field, including expertise in pharmaceutical development, organizational growth, and public communications
- Serve as a resource for philanthropists who have specific interests in psychedelics and are interested in advice and collaboration to amplify collective impact
- Foster community among philanthropists, scientists, and the tireless professionals dedicated to the clinical approval of psychedelic medicine
PSFC has set an audacious goal of raising the philanthropic funding needed to make psychedelic therapy available as a medicine.
As the Director of Scientific Research and Partnerships, you will be responsible for building new partnerships with private and public institutions to establish Psychedelic Centers of Excellence for therapist training and clinical practice of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies. You will foster personal connections with department chairs and heads of development at major Universities and healthcare institutions across the United States, as well as with donors who support those institutions. You understand how institutions work and are adept at navigating institutional politics and power structures. Additionally, you bring clinical expertise to the PSFC organization with practical experiences in clinical operations to strengthen our due diligence on clinical trial grant proposals.
As the ideal candidate for the role, you are a strategic thinker, a self-starter, and enjoy building and nurturing relationships. Passionate about psychedelic science, you have stellar communication skills and stay up to speed on trends and opportunities in the psychedelic field. And as a member of a small, dynamic organization, you are grounded, direct, clear, kind, and a team player.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Devise a partnership strategy to work with medical and academic institutions (e.g. Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, top universities, etc.) to build out psychedelic centers of excellence for clinical practice and training
- Identify and source high-potential institutional prospects through research, strategic outreach, and relationship-building to cultivate new partnerships with academic researchers and institutions
- Build trusted relationships and champion collaboration with stakeholders in psychedelic medicine
- As a grantmaker, evaluate incoming grant proposals and provide due diligence on organizations conducting clinical trials
- Evaluate Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs) on alignment with internal strategic priorities for clinical practice and training
- Introduce IITs to sponsors who may be able to provide scientific input and or drug product
- Connect IITs to sponsors who may be able to provide scientific input and/or drug product
- Build a framework and engagement playbook for clinical partnerships
- Manage tools to maintain a real-time snapshot of relationships and forecast future opportunities
- Coordinate with other members of the PSFC team and handle a portion of our shared administrative tasks
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnership management, or management consulting
- 5+ years of experience working in the healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry
- Bachelors degree in life sciences (MD, PharmD, biology, bioinformatics, biological engineering or similar)
- Experience with scientific research in a hospital/academic center or innovation office is a plus
- Experienced working on clinical trials and drug development through to FDA approval
- Can balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Required:
