As the Biomedical Research Coordinator, you will provide research investigation study support for the Airman Systems Directorate, Airman Biosciences Division, Biomedical Impact of Flight Branch, Aerospace Physiology Research Section (711 HPW/RHBFP) in addressing USAF mission gaps. Additionally, you will interface with RH and 711 HPW Staff, as well as USAF experts and consultants in this field, you are responsible for providing research clinical and basic science coordination, and general assistance in areas required to meet the stated work and objectives to support the mission.
You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering or Biomedical Engineering
- Minimum of 1-2 years of research research/engineering experience with materials
- Demonstrated project management experience in industry (or government)
- Current and ability to maintain any required professional license or certification including CITI training
- Demonstrated experience with human subject research, and familiar with human health research
- Possess familiarity with military and medical terminology and military medical/research
- Demonstrate proficiency with clinical databases and information technology to Microsoft software programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
- Possess exceptionally high capacity for working autonomously and performing assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated competency and effectiveness in working with interprofessional teams and demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with research colleagues, medical professionals, DoD employees, and government officials, as well as civilian researchers in academic and clinical settings on research execution and translation
