Job Purpose
Provides pick-up and delivery service of essential items to serve people accessing TRM services. Provides flexible scheduling options when working with community members and TRM programs. Assists in keeping the donation center organized and efficient. May provide transportation services for other TRM needs as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates responsibilities in conjunction with supervisor.
- Picks up scheduled donations and provides written receipts when accepting donations from community members.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Coordinates with other departments to fulfill requests of the programs.
- Assists with processing incoming donations.
- Maintains professional communication with clients, donors, businesses, volunteers, and interns.
- Performs duties necessary for the upkeep of TRM vehicles (i.e. performs safety inspections, maintains accurate vehicle log, keeps vehicles washed and cleaned, ensures there is sufficient fuel in trucks, and reports safety or repair concerns to the supervisor).
- Embodies the values that form our culture to meet the organization's mission of sharing God's love, hope, and support with our neighbors in need to uplift communities.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support others and ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
Working Conditions
Occasionally works outdoors in inclement weather. Drives large box truck and operates small equipment with dexterity.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience driving a 6 ton or larger delivery truck.
- Ability to operate the following equipment: box truck with hydraulic tail gate, forklift, trash compactor, small engine equipment, small electrical tools, hand truck, and pallet jack.
- Ability to prioritize driving time and respond positively to schedule changes as directed.
- Ability to work with diverse populations, demonstrating compassionate understanding.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse environment using effective and thoughtful interactions and communication.
- Skilled in clear and effective written, verbal, and electronic communication.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.

- Valid Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability.

Physical Requirements
- Stationary position 50% of the time.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate I, Stand Alone Attended Donation Center (ADC) - Donation Services, is typically the first point of contact for customers that are dropping off donated items at a stand-alone donations’ centers. The ADC Donation Services Associates will provide excellent and friendly customer service by greeting customers’ timely and helping the customer as needed. Customer assistance may include lifting or unloading donations from a customer’s vehicle or other areas. Associates are expected to handle goods with care, showing respect for all items donated.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides excellent customer service, greeting customers in a timely manner.
- Assists every customer by unloading donations from vehicle or other areas.
- Ensured that all donated items are handled with care and sorted into appropriate bins or production areas.
- Ensures a safe, organized, and clean environment is maintained for both customers and fellow employees within the donations entrance and parking lot areas.
- Maintains donation centers’ shed and trailer where applicable.
- Follows appropriate opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure supplies are kept well stocked as necessary.
- Records and reports accurate donation count daily.
- Assist drivers in loading and unloading donations onto the truck.
- Timely communication when donation warehouse and/or trailer(s) are becoming full and a truck is needed.
- Follows all donation center policies and procedures.
- Adheres to training guidelines pertaining to accepting and handling donations.
- Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:

You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
What you bring to Takeda:
High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
