**The role you'll contribute:**
The Clinical Pharmacist supports the mission of the department, hospital, and health-system by preventing, identifying, and resolving medication use issues to assure patient safety, improve patient satisfaction, optimize patient outcomes, and minimize costs. The role involves working in both centralized and decentralized areas, performing all functions of a registered pharmacist including accurate and timely dispensing, clinical interactions with patients and the healthcare team, and technician supervision. This position is responsible for developing and providing clinical pharmacy services to the general patient population, supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure correct and timely medication dispensing and ensuring medication therapies are appropriate for patients based on a variety of factors. Additionally, the Clinical Pharmacist interprets prescriptions and medication orders, acts as a drug information resource, compounds and dispenses prescribed medications, and participates in patient care rounds and medication management. Responsibilities also include assisting with the daily operation of the pharmacy department, participating in performance improvement activities, educating staff, managing adverse drug events, participating in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and engaging in continuous professional development. The role requires collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure the safe and effective use of medications and maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

+ Pharmacy Operations Actively performs all pharmacist functions, actively participates in established standard work parameters, and maintains functional proficiency in and actively provides coverage of central pharmacy and/or satellite areas as requested. Oversees and ensures appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems. Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and dispensing of patient-specific medication doses. Supervises technician and intern practice, prioritizes work load, organizes work flow, and checks accuracy of pharmacy technician activities.
+ Pharmacy Practice Completes critical medication order scrutiny, drug profile review, and patient monitoring to identify, prevent, or mitigate medication-related problems. Proficiently verifies/enters medication orders and proactively communicates with medical staff to resolve problem medication orders. Provides patient-centered care services, including accurate, safe and timely medication therapy, and promotes cost-effective drug therapy, including actively participating in stewardship activities and restricted medication/surveillance programs. Initiates and facilitates appropriate drug dosing and manages medication-related pharmacist consults. Facilitates medication safety practices, including identifying, mitigating, and reporting potential and actual adverse drug events, adverse drug reactions, and medication errors. Participates in the management of medical emergencies. Maintains continuous learning and pharmacy practice development.
+ Clinical Pharmacy Services Actively participates in direct patient care programs and provides accurate, safe, timely, and appropriate medication therapy based on patient needs. Works as an active member of pharmacy clinical programs and collaborates with healthcare providers and pharmacy staff, and places practice priority on the delivery of patient-centered care.
+ Teamwork and Inter-professional Collaboration i) Presents to assigned areas on time and ready to work to ensure continuity of care between shifts, among pharmacy staff assignments, and across pharmacy practice areas. A Healthcare Provider Solution Architect plays a crucial role in designing and implementing technology solutions that address the unique needs and challenges of healthcare provider organizations. They bridge the gap between business needs of the Provider organizations, and technical capabilities, ensuring that IT initiatives align with clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, and patient experience. This role requires deep expertise in Provider applications, integration, Architecture experience, with a strong background in EHR product & implementations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional Technical leadership, management, and soft skills to drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare technology environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Drive growth of Healthcare Provider solutions for client.
• Build Healthcare Provider Practice within the organization, adding a team of SMEs / technical experts and solution architects.
• Provide technical and strategic guidance on Healthcare Provider applications and workflows.
• Engage with Clients providing solutions to their needs around EHR implementations, integration with Payer systems, Data analytics.
• Oversee key project execution, risk management, and compliance with industry standards.
• Mentor teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:
• 10+ years of Total experience with minimum of 5 recent years with Healthcare Providers with a strong focus on product deployment (functional and technical).
• Understanding Healthcare provider landscape (e.g., hospitals, clinics, physician groups).
• Solution Design and Architecture: Defining the architecture for applications, infrastructure, data management, integration, and security, keeping in mind healthcare-specific requirements.
• Interoperability: Design solutions that facilitate seamless data exchange and interoperability between different healthcare systems, including EHRs, PACS, laboratory information systems, often utilizing standards like HL7 and FHIR.
• Ensure that proposed solutions comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards such as HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, and other data privacy and security mandates.
• Develop strategies for integrating new solutions with existing healthcare IT infrastructure and applications, ensuring data integrity and efficient workflows.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendors that align with the organization's needs and budget. This may involve conducting proof-of-concepts and vendor assessments.
• Identify potential technical risks and challenges associated with solution implementation and develop mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated with emerging trend s and technologies in the healthcare IT landscape, such as cloud computing, AI, ML, telemedicine, and digital health, and identify opportunities for their application.
• Proven leadership experience managing large-scale healthcare IT projects.
• Good to have deep understanding of Cerner Millennium, Revenue Cycle, Population Health, and other Oracle Health modules.
• Based around the Greater Chicago area and open to travel (40%)
