Arch Amenities Group, the world's leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking a Child Care Attendant. The Child Care Attendant is responsible for assisting with the operation of the facility nursery and or child care. This position requires continuous supervision of children and initiation of fun activities as well as making sure the nursery is clean and organized at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
• Maintain daily open communication with parents
• Maintain confidentiality
• Report any suspect abuse to supervisor
• Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment by keeping the facility clean and orderly
• Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of childcare experience

• Maintain availability for at least two full weekdays (Monday-Friday). A full day is defined as a minimum of eight hours of consecutive availability between 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM.

Child Care Assistant/Driver shall provide childcare support to the ongoing programs and services of the Tustin Ranch Corps as needed. They will also provide safe and timely transportation of individuals participating in programs at The Salvation Army.

Provide safe and secure childcare for children of families attending various programs and services at The Tustin Ranch Corps. Services will be provided in areas of the Church Sanctuary, cry room, prayer room, and designated areas within the Tustin Ranch complex which may include the Creator's Corner Preschool building. Specific duties will include but are not limited to the adherence of all child safety policies and regulations as established by The Salvation Army (Protect the Mission).

Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Valid California driver license and annual renewed decision driving training for authorized drivers. A deep understanding of the mission of The Salvation Army. If working in the vicinity of children a criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures. Annually renew Protect the Mission training.
