About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Brand Strategy, the Brand Strategist will be a pivotal partner in shaping and executing the future of the Chime brand. In this role, you will support key strategic workstreams, turning brand vision into actionable plans and tangible results for 2026 and beyond. You are a sharp, culturally-attuned thinker who is passionate about connecting data-driven insights with powerful creative storytelling. You will help oversee our most ambitious brand projects, ensuring every touchpoint is a true reflection of Chime's mission and values.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $103,680.00 and up to $44,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
  • Contribute to the development of our long-term brand strategy by conducting research and analysis. Help articulate and champion our core brand story across all internal and external communications.
  • Partner with the Head of Brand Strategy to execute integrated marketing campaigns. You will coordinate with creative, growth, and product marketing teams to ensure our brand narrative is consistently and powerfully expressed.
  • Assist in managing the annual brand calendar, tracking key project milestones, campaign launch dates, and cultural moments to ensure cross-functional alignment on strategic priorities.
  • Pull and analyze consumer data and market research to uncover insights that inform our brand positioning, target audience profiles, and campaign optimizations. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on key brand performance metrics.
  • Oversee key brand initiatives from brief to execution, ensuring the strategic intent is flawlessly translated into the final output. You will act as the strategic through-line, guaranteeing that innovative campaigns are creatively excellent and perfectly aligned with our brand goals.
  • Act as a key point of contact for the brand, providing initial feedback on creative concepts and assets to ensure they are on-brief and consistent with our brand guidelines and narrative.
  • Research emerging cultural trends, competitive activity, and potential brand ambassadors or partners that align with Chime's values. You will help build the case for new storytelling and activation opportunities.
To thrive in this role, you have
  • A proven ability to author inspiring and effective creative briefs that translate complex data and business needs into a concise, actionable, and measurable strategy for creative teams.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand marketing, or a related role, with a strong ability to connect tactical execution to broader strategic objectives.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams (Creative, Growth, Product, Comms) to shepherd projects and deliver cohesive brand experiences.
  • Experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting on brand performance metrics (e.g., brand awareness, consideration, sentiment). You are comfortable turning data into a clear, concise story.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to surface key insights that strengthen our brand narrative and campaign effectiveness.
  • A genuine passion for understanding consumer behavior, cultural trends, and how they can intersect with our brand to create authentic and resonant moments.

  • Work closely with both Game Seven and Excel Brand Marketing teammates on the daily, serving as the Strategy thought leader on some of our biggest joint projects.
  • Lead on new partnership-based RFP's, collaborating closely with Accounts, Creative, Partnership Strategy, and Production pitch amazing strategic & creative proposals.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to our clients by helping define and shape the brand's vision/role for their partnership with a roadmap for our team to help them get there.

Requirements & Skills:
  • 3-6 years of working in creative/strategy - agency, brand, tech preferred.

Overview

Senior Brand Strategists play a pivotal role in guiding digital marketing projects and ensuring strategic and creative consistency.   • Maintain and refine the organization’s branding kit (fonts, colors, logos, voice/tone) based on the existing UX/UI design system.
  • Serve as point person for design consistency, approving collateral before distribution.
  • Work closely with the graphics team to ensure that visuals reflect strategic messaging and brand identity.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Support the Events Team in creating promotional materials, signage, and social content.
  • Assist the Development Team with donor-facing decks, corporate sponsorship packets, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership on branded presentations and communications.
  • Coordinate with Programs team to develop mission-centered, supportive materials for participants and care package content when needed.
  • Collaborate with social media or email marketing to ensure the messaging, tone, and visuals align with the brand

Project Management & Creative Direction

  • Manage timelines and review processes for branded content production.
  • Facilitate feedback loops between internal teams and graphic designers.
  • Maintain organized systems for storing and repurposing branded materials and templates
