Job Description
An environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities is looking to bring on a Building Mechanical CAD Designer. As part of the Building Services CAD team, you will work specifically on HVAC and Plumbing systems for projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world. This person will be responsible for a variety of project elements, including drafting, design, checking, and both 2D and 3D drawings. To integrate into the team efficiently, this person will need a strong background in Revit, including proficient skills that are ready to deploy. This role will be a 6 month contract-to-hire model, with the primary goal being a permanent conversion. This role can pay anywhere between $30-$45/hr, with permanent conversion salary coming in at or above that rate. The ideal candidate would be able to work a hybrid schedule in the Dallas or Austin offices, but other location/remote options are available for the right candidate.
