Under general supervision, responsible for ensuring that project performance standards and objectives are clearly defined and achieved. This role involves identifying and addressing issues, recommending corrective actions, and verifying that work is completed to the required quality standards. + Documents and reports on code violations and poor compliance, including suggestions for bringing buildings up to code.
+ Keeps logs, including photographs taken during inspections, and completes inspection reports.
+ Issues violation notices and stop-work orders until building is compliant.
+ Evaluates existing buildings which have received physical damage from earthquakes, wind events, floods, or fire, as well as investigations involving non-permitted construction.

TSI is currently seeking FEMA Public Assistance (PA) Program Delivery Managers (PDMGs) to support our disaster recovery team in Georgia and North Carolina. We're looking for PDMGs who can overcome challenges and complete projects in any environment. If you're someone who can take direction but doesn't always need to be told what to do, then we want to hear from you. PDMGs will work closely with FEMA and local government officials to provide supplemental disaster grant assistance for the repair, replacement, and restoration of disaster-damaged, public owned facilities. Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to: site damage inspections, cost estimate and scope of work development, exploratory calls and recovery scoping meetings, project reviews and validation, review and determination of hazard mitigation requirements, and environmental & historic preservation reviews and guidance. Under general supervision, the Senior Building Inspector performs more complex or specialized inspections; examines residential, commercial, and industrial building and grading plans; assists at the public counter with permit issuance; reviews water quality permit requirements; and performs other related duties as required.
The Senior Building Inspector is the lead-level classification in the Building Inspector series and reports to an appropriate supervisory or management-level position. Assignments may include one or more of the following: performing complex or specialized inspections; conducting environmental site inspections; serving in a lead capacity over field or office inspection operations; and examining residential, commercial, and industrial building and grading plans to determine conformance with applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.

- Shall be ICC certified as a Plans Examiner.
- Shall be an ICC certified building inspector as a minimum but prefer a combination certification for plumbing and mechanical.
- Five years of agency building plan review experience.
- Must be able to conduct electronic plan reviews using BlueBeam and Adobe programs.
- Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's license.
- Licensed in the State of Washington as an Architect or Professional Engineer

•Collaborates with Designers, Engineers, Project Managers, Stakeholders, QA Construction Inspectors and Contractors to ensure efficient and effective compliance of DFW International Airport construction projects with adopted ICC family of model codes, DFW International Airport Design Criteria Manual, and DFW International Airport Code Amendments for Construction through construction document plan review and construction inspections.
•Performs construction document plan reviews and construction inspections in the designated building code discipline.
•Ensures Airport facilities comply with FAA Regulations and other mandated design standards.
•Records and documents inspection, plan review and testing results. Issues deficiency reports and monitors remedial work. Records re-inspection and retesting results. Ensures correction of all construction document plan review and inspection deficiencies.
•Keeps abreast of new code changes and materials. Provides technical assistance as it relates to code interpretation and conformance, constructability, and quality assurance at each project phase from design through final inspection.
•The incumbent functions under general review and at times autonomously, with the supervisor available to answer more difficult questions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Three (3) years' experience in construction inspections and construction document plan examination. Possesses and maintains an active status International Code Council (ICC) Commercial Building Inspector Certificate; ICC Building Plans Examiner Certificate; ICC Commercial Energy Inspector Certificate; ICC Commercial Energy Plans Examiner Certificate; ICC Commercial Combination Inspector Certificate; ICC Combination Plans Examiner Certificate.
•Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
•Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Knowledge of the ICC family of codes; Local, State, and National Codes and Regulations relating to major construction development, building systems and energy conservation systems.
•Ability to detect and correct non-complying items during construction document plan review and through inspection of the in-progress or finished work.
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
•Ability to maintain harmonious internal and external working relationships.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
•Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport's Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
•This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport's Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure. Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position.

**Job Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:**
+ Being fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the building construction to include masonry work and familiarization with the local and State building codes and ordinances
+ Performing under the general supervision of the Project Administrator
+ Relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

As a Building Inspector/Plans Examiner, you will perform plan review and inspections used to regulate airport construction projects to ensure that they comply with state and local codes. You will also communicate with stakeholders from the project concept to completion.
+ You will compile a comprehensive list of plan review comments, including relative code citations, for permit applicants.
+ You will inspect permitted projects for compliance with approved building plans, specifications, and related codes and standards, sometimes at non-ordinary hours. You will also compile correction notices to clearly convey deficiencies.
+ You will attend preapplication and preconstruction meetings to help guide stakeholders through the design process by informing them of code requirements. You will also explain significant concerns and issues, listen and respond to stakeholder input.
+ You will communicate with Airport Building Department (ABD) staff regarding project status.
+ You will maintain knowledge of other airport construction projects so you can substitute for inspections, if needed.
+ You will be an accurate source of information and knowledge of Port policies, relevant codes, timelines, and any ABD related areas of expertise to stakeholders.
