Position Summary:

Performs and/or assists the Manager, Facilities with the maintenance, repair, replacement, adjustments and modification of the facility, equipment and the outside grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non- emergency situations while observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. • Maintain warehouse, operate power equipment to sweep, wash warehouse floors, aisles, clean-up spills, remove trash and debris as needed.

• Perform scheduled custodial duties, paint, scrape, power wash and other projects as assigned.

• Perform light maintenance (e.g., change light bulbs, unstop toilets, clean carpets, building updated, such as painting and general upgrades, putting furniture together, duct work, set-up conference rooms, etc) as needed.

• Assist warehouse personnel, outside contractors and maintenance personnel on special maintenance projects as directed.

• At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.

Our Maintenance team is in search of experienced persons to join their team. Our team is focused on keeping our Historic Dallas Landmark in great condition. Come join us as we celebrate 100 years! Expectations include but are not limited to understanding of equipment and systems found in a hotel, routine maintenance of all public spaces, meeting rooms, guest rooms and grounds, and completing repairs and replacement of any equipment necessary.

POSITION PURPOSE

Maintain the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Complete work orders and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.

Completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, and grounds. Completion of all repairs, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.

Adhere to all corporate-required purchasing policies and controls, including, but not limited to, all outside contractor bids, budgets, and schedules. Follow prescribed safety procedures for personnel and equipment by the company and OSHA.

Work with the Chief Engineer to maintain effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs and conduct special training for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel.

Inform the General Manager and hotel department heads on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems. Access and input information into a computer and generate reports (if applicable).

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
