Duties, Responsibilities & Other

As a Project Manager 6, you will oversee projects of increased scope and complexity, managing multiple subconsultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers. You will coordinate all phases of a projectfrom planning through completionensuring technical excellence, on-time delivery, and budget adherence. In this hybrid leadership/technical role, you will also perform and review structural designs, lead condition assessments, and guide junior engineers, ensuring that project deliverables meet both KCI's quality standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Leadership

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including technical staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring successful completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and communicate Project Management Plans, defining objectives, schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor project performance, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong, transparent communication and relationships.
  • Allocate resources effectively and foster a collaborative team environment.

Structural Engineering & Technical Oversight

  • Perform and oversee structural design and condition assessments for concrete, steel, and specialty structures.
  • Develop complete construction documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Conduct and review QA/QC of calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
  • Participate in all phases of design, including construction administration and bid-phase services.
  • Stay current with state and municipal policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to structural engineering.

Training, Development & Compliance

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Support the professional development of team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all KCI policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Develop project schedules from inception to completion, identifying opportunities to optimize workflows.
  • Negotiate contract terms, scope, and fees with clients and subconsultants.
  • Track budgets, utilization, and cash flow (WIP/AR), implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare monthly progress, performance, and completion reports.

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Participate in project opportunity evaluations and consultant selections.
  • Assist in preparing marketing materials, project write-ups, and proposal documents.
  • Maintain and expand strong client relationships through consistent, high-quality service.
Required Qualifications Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required: Bachelor's Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 3 years of related professional experience, or 7 years of equivalent professional experience. Participation in continuing education and professional development programs. Experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery. Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams. Proven organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Technical knowledge in the specific field of the project. Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. Your Impact
+ Under general supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, subsurface utility information, maps, geotechnical data, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction.
+ Assist with performing basic professional structural engineering work relating to conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, resources, building, infrastructure, and transportation channels to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.

**Responsibilities**
+ This position will support the growth of the firm in our heavy civil, facilities infrastructure, and/or building structures practices
+ Develop and maintain good relationships with coworkers, industry peers, and clients
+ Perform and review structural design calculations, prepare project document submittal packages, and maintain Quality Control for the entire project
+ Conduct site investigations and structural evaluations while documentmenting field observations and preparing technical reports
+ Support and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, owners, contractors, and design team members
+ Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients
+ Leadership responsibilities include:

**Qualifications**
+ 8+ years of diversified structural engineering experience
+ Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
+ History of providing technical design and planning on a variety of structures
+ Knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup with some ability to produce drawings and details, when needed
+ Knowledge and experience in structural analysis and design software, such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and other structural related design software
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
+ Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
+ Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
+ Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
+ Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
+ Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work

Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening Building Engineering Worker for ASM Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Building Engineering Worker works with the Engineering Manager to ensure all building equipment is in proper working order, and assists the Operations department with other assigned tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in ensuring proper operation of all building equipment

  • Perform routine maintenance including but not limited to: HVAC/Mechanical/Plumbing systems, minor electrical, exhaust fans/motors, lighting systems, etc.

  • Minor repairs of kitchen and food service equipment

  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance of building systems

  • Ability to learn and manage building automation system

  • Minor vehicle repairs and preventative maintenance

  • Research of supplies/parts and materials and inventory control of stock items

  • Upkeep and maintenance of building equipment with coordination of Engineering Manager.

  • Assist and facilitate maintenance of wall and surface finishes to include drywall and masonry / painted and applied finishes

  • Interpret company policies and safety regulations according to MSDS/OSHA safety

  • Assist with ongoing event needs

  • Assist other departments/operations with related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

In the role of Project Manager, well count on you to:

  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the projects lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)
  • Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects
  • Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently
  • Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • PMP certification
