Music City Construction Careers is seeking qualified applicants to our Apprenticeship Readiness Program.
This free two-week course and follow-up apprenticeship placement prepares candidates to enter paid, full-time Union apprenticeships in the Union construction trades.
$350 stipend provided for those that complete the free two-week program.
After completing this program and being placed in an apprenticeship, average pay during 2-4 year building trades apprenticeships is between $5/hr and 20/hr + benefits. Average pay after completing an apprentice program is 40,000- 70,000/year + benefits.
No previous work experience is needed.

- Successful drug screen and ability to pass random drug screenings long-term

Our program teaches the North America Building Trades Unions' nationally-recognized Multi-Core Curriculum, a standardized, comprehensive, 120-hour construction course designed to help young people and transitioning adults choose and succeed in apprenticeship programs that are appropriate for them.
Upon completion of this program, our team will work with you on an Apprenticeship Placement Plan in order to get you started in your desired field as quickly as possible. Most candidates are working within 1-2 week after graduation.

Hiring pay is $1,107 per load hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses, adhering to course outlines and student learning objectives.
- Prepare and implement syllabi in accordance with college procedures and course outline.
- Keep and submit all essential instructional records according to the College calendar including reporting grades and attendance.
- Notify Deans and Academic Operations Coordinators in case of absence from class. Work to find substitute to cover class when at all possible.
- Follow all college policies and procedures including information on Letter of Intent (semester contract).
- Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
- Utilize Learning Management System (Canvas) to at least the minimum threshold as indicated in college procedures.
- Check CCC email and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Attend college meetings as required. This includes New Faculty Orientation upon hire and a beginning of semester all faculty meeting.

- Remain current in practices, trends, and research related to discipline area.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to teach assigned course effectively. Knowledge of the subject area, computer and related technology (including Learning Management System). Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality of students and staff. Ability to support and promote the mission, values, purposes, and strategic plan of the College. Ability to work in a culturally diverse and team environment. Ability to integrate subject area with other related curricula. Bachelor's Degree in any of the area of Construction Technology Management and two years directly related industry experience OR
Associate's Degree in any of the area of Construction Technology Management and four years directly related industry experience

Part-time employees working 20 hours or more per week for at least 20 weeks within the fiscal year (July 1-June 30) are eligible to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System and receive tuition waiver benefits.

As a BTAS, you will:

- Sprays materials such as water, sand, steam, or paint through hose to clean, coat or seal crevices.
- Grinds, sands, or polishes surfaces, such as concrete, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring using abrading tools or machines.
- Performs a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools, such as demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, mounting pipe hangers, and cutting and attaching insulating materials.
- Work is usually performed with other workers.
Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task.
Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same.
Maintains a good relationship with co-workers and works well with others to accomplish a task.
Physical demands of this position include lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally; 40-50 pounds frequently along with frequent climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling.
