POSITION SCOPE:

The Manager, Business Analytics will play a key role in the company’s growth by providing insightful financial analysis and strategic planning with our budget process and across various functions of the business, including but not limited to digital advertising, pricing, and capital expenditures, in addition to all budgeting and forecasting. The Manager, Business Analytics role requires both a hands-on and strategic approach to create and execute to our financial objectives. This role will focus on creating, analyzing and reporting results to management as well as developing the models/tools necessary to meet deadlines and provide information in a manner that is clear and usable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Utilize BI tools to provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis.
  • Continuously refine data collection, reporting processes, and forecast models to improve accuracy and timeliness.
  • Drive segmentation analysis to inform personalization, loyalty strategies, and audience targeting across retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Analyze customer behavior across channels to uncover actionable insights related to purchase patterns, retention, lifetime value (LTV), and churn risk.
  • Lead the development and delivery of accurate, data-driven retail sales forecasts, incorporating historical trends, promotions, seasonal effects, and market dynamics.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all financial reports.


Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting:

  • In conjunction with the CFO, lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with the leadership team to develop and consolidate budgets, and develop and implement financial strategies to hit business goals.
  • Prepare regular forecasts, updating assumptions based on current trends and business insights.
  • Provide monthly variance analysis and explanations for deviations from budget and forecast.
  • Identify areas for cost savings and improvements.
  • Own the month-end report generation both in excel and PowerPoint, which will be communicated to the Board of Directors.
  • Assist in the production of materials for quarterly board meetings
  • Support long-term strategic planning initiatives by providing long-term financial modeling and scenario analysis.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or related area – Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years previous experience, within luxury/retail
  • Previous experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite and Shopify strongly preferred AI experience a plus

Job Summary

The Director Business Analytics will lead our business analytics function, overseeing the analysis of data to generate insights that inform strategic decision-making and drive operational excellence. You will be responsible for managing a team of analysts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing analytics solutions to support business objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and develop a team of analysts and data scientists, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee the analysis of inventory sales data, Spotify data, and other relevant datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop and implement methodologies for projecting ticket sales, optimizing dynamic ticket pricing, and evaluating artist valuations to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Analyze macroeconomic shifts and industry trends to anticipate market dynamics and inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Calculate show sales breakeven points, adjusting for venue expenses, and provide insights to optimize financial performance.
  • Conduct analysis of food & beverage (F&B), merchandise, and ancillary revenue streams (e.g., quick pass sales) to identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to develop data-driven strategies and initiatives that drive business growth and enhance the customer experience.
  • Provide finance reporting assistance, collaborating with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial metrics and performance indicators.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 6-8 years Experience in business analytics, data science, or related field
  • 2-4 years Experience in a leadership or managerial role
  • Experience working with financial data and conducting financial analysis, including familiarity with finance reporting requirements and standards.
  • Experience with analytics tools and platforms
  • Advanced/Expert in the use of MS Excel required
  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Advanced/Expert SQL server reporting services is required.
  • Strong familiarity with BI Tools, DOMO preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of emerging open source tools while conducting analyses on large and unstructured data-sets
  • Knowledgeable about using Big Data techniques to drive advanced analytics
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail with a consistent record of delivering results
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling techniques, with ability to analyze inventory sales data, Spotify data, and other relevant datasets
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills proven track record of driving IT projects
  • Strong understanding of ticketing and pricing dynamics in the entertainment industry, including dynamic pricing strategies and revenue management principles
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams

Pay Scale: $117,907- $185,890

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.

ANV Global Services, Inc. (ANV), a fast-growing MGA specialized in financial lines insurance, requires a professional with extensive experience with requirements gathering, data, analytics, and management information delivery. The role includes maintenance and enhancement of pricing engines for ANVs various lines of business, improved efficiency through data mapping and integration as well as enhanced decision making through the development of automated management information and data analysis. Role is based out of ANVs Morristown office but will service both our US and International operations.

Responsibilities
    Partner closely with underwriting, claims and operations departments to improve risk selection, drive efficiency and management reporting
  • Maintain and enhance ANVs pricing engines to improve the data quality and ensure data integrity
  • Gather data from various sources and clean raw datasets, evaluate data quality and fix data issues, and create analytic datasets
  • Improve or fully automate the report generation processes
  • Data management deliverables including automated reports and ad-hoc MI
  • Data analytics for improved decision making and risk selection
  • Apply analytical skills to identify and address business/process problems through data driven strategies
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Minimum 2-3 years in data analyst or comparable role
  • Must have hand-on experience in database and Power BI
  • Experience with relational databases Access or SQL is required
  • Comfortable using BI tools to analyze and manipulate data such as BO, SQL, Power BI
  • Strong skills in data extraction and analysis
  • Understanding of business and IT processes
  • Well organized and be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in VBA is a big plus

The salary range for this role is $68K - $80K a year. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future.
