Job Description
+ Define, analyze, solve, and document the business requirements and processes for Accenture or our clients' program/project specifications and objectives.
+ Develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.
+ Gather and analyze information to define and review project specifications and requirements.
+ Write functional specifications using cases and requirements that describe the necessary system changes or new system features.
+ Develop strategy and functionality, and demonstrate functional solutions to business, IT client, and the development team.
+ Provide functional support to the development team to use the functional specifications and requirements to develop technical solutions.
+ Identify and assess complex problems, and create solutions that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors and will be implemented by the team.
+ Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments, and make decisions that impact the team through regular consultation with senior management.
+ Adhere to strategic direction set by senior management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, plus 4 years of experience in the IT consulting industry.Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:
+ Working in Agile project management;
+ Liaising with client leadership in executing program and project management responsibilities;
+ Conducting Agile project planning events with client senior leadership to map out work plans utilizing Agile methodologies including SAFe, Lean, or Scrum;
+ Collaborating with key stakeholders including Project Managers, Business Owners, and IT Partners to generate and contribute to scope definition and delivery approach definition;
+ Leading an onshore and offshore Agile team to complete balancing, prioritizing, restructuring, and reallocating tasks;
+ Coordinating User Acceptance Testing with Business Stakeholders, Project Managers, and IT Partners;
+ Liaising with clients in the property and casualty line of business; and
+ Backlog and delivery management tools including Jira and MS office applications.

The Business and Information Architecture (BIA) group within our Research & Development Division's Clinical Development and Digital Solutions (CDDS) value team, the Business Strategy Partnership (BSP) organization is seeking a highly motivated Senior Specialist / Business Architect. This role is responsible for developing comprehensive business architectural models and strategic plans to support Development IT initiatives. Reporting to the BIA team lead, the Senior Specialist / Business Architect will play a key role in aligning technology improvements with overarching business transformation goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
· Develop deep business acumen and expertise in data and data standards across Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs domains.
· Apply domain knowledge to influence system design, architectural practices, and process improvements on a day-to-day basis.
· Create target-state business capability maps and value streams aligned with strategic drivers and business objectives.
· Produce business architectural deliverables and actionable insights from gathered information to enhance clarity and effectiveness in communication and strategy management.
· Conduct gap assessments between current-state and target-state business architectures; identify and recommend roadmap components based on findings.
· Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to develop transitional architectures and detailed implementation roadmaps.
· Serve as a liaison between IT and business teams, ensuring all stakeholders understand the strategic management approach and timelines.
· Align value team activities with divisional and enterprise architecture frameworks.

**Education**
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
**Required Experience and Skills**
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture, business/technical analysis, or IT solution delivery within the life sciences industry.
· Proven expertise in business process modeling and process improvement.
· Experience in strategic planning with a focus on business capability enablement.
· Strong background in system design.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and business audiences.

**Position Overview:**
This position is for a Business Architect in our Payment and Deposits Solutions team and requires subject matter expertise in Payment & Deposits product domains and substantial knowledge in product capability ownership. The candidate will be responsible for design of payment and deposits solutions across the enterprise. This will be accomplished by integrating knowledge of how Payments and Deposits functions deliver outcomes for multiple business areas at leading financial institutions. The role involves interpreting business challenges, leading cross-functional projects, and developing new solutions to meet our future client needs.
**Job / Role Responsibilities:**
**Strategic Architecture & Design**
+ Define and maintain the enterprise payments architecture roadmap to support corporate banking and treasury services.
+ Align payments capabilities (ACH, wires, RTP, SWIFT, card rails, and cross-border) with overall business strategy and client needs.
+ Translate business objectives into target-state architectures, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and compliance.
+ Partner with product management to design solutions that enable new payment services, revenue models, and customer experiences.
+ Assess current-state payments processes, systems, and customer journeys to identify gaps and optimization opportunities.
+ Develop future-state models (capabilities, data flows, process maps) that enable seamless end-to-end payments execution.
+ Ensure alignment of payments processes with ISO 20022 standards, regulatory mandates, and clearing/settlement requirements.
+ Collaborate with technology teams to design integration patterns for core banking, ERP, treasury management, fraud/risk, and liquidity platforms.
+ Drive adoption of modern APIs, microservices, and cloud-based payments solutions.
+ Define architectural guardrails to ensure system interoperability, real-time data availability, and operational resilience.
+ Continuously monitor industry advancements (blockchain, CBDCs, AI in fraud prevention) to assess impact on corporate payments.
+ Advise senior leadership on emerging payments trends (real-time payments, open banking, digital currencies).

+ Certifications such as PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are assets.
**Payment Domain Knowledge:**
+ Substantial knowledge of SWIFT messages, ISO20022, MX and MT formats.
+ Deep understanding of payment systems and methods such as Canada Lynx, US CHIPS, and FedWire, etc.
+ Knowledge of emerging payment rails like Instant Payments
+ Familiarity with regulatory reporting such as EFTR Fintrac, sanction screening, fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML), compliance reporting.
+ Understanding of deposit sub-ledger capabilities (like account management, transaction posting, multi-currency handling, interest calculations, liquidity management, controls, and reporting) to drive/ support deposits transformation, an asset.
+ Familiarity with various accounts (Nostro, Vostro, Corporate Customer), and integration of payments services with correspondent account processing, an asset.
+ Understanding of the interaction between payments and deposits operating models and how these serve client needs and use cases.
+ Experience with payment data, canonical models, and payment data mapping.
+ Ability to create and document Target Operating Models (TOMs) and define how opportunities and challenges will be delivered through these TOMs.
**Qualifications:**
+ Proficient in MS Office and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
