About the role:
As the Demand Planning Lead, you will be responsible for managing the demand forecast and collaborating with the US commercial franchise, commercial planning, and finance, to ensure the proper demand signal is being submitted in Takeda's Integrated Business Planning system IBP, to our manufacturing Operating Units (OpU's) for products in scope. You will report into the Head of US Supply Chain Coordination.
How you will contribute:
- Manage a framework of key performance indicators that maximizes customer service level (CSL), meet target inventory levels, improves forecast accuracy (FA), and minimize product discards in the US
- Maintain demand forecast segmentation for all products in scope and align on high-touch (e.g. high variability, new launch, loss-of-exclusivity, critical low inventory coverage, etc.) vs low-touch brands for optimal resource allocation and automation
- Prepare and analyze actuals and forecast to decide on profiles for statistical demand forecast with the objective to drive automatization
- Update the statistical forecast according to agreed timelines for submission
- Collaborate on maintaining Master Data in relevant systems (e.g. SAP, IBP) and according to procedures
- Perform Exception-based review of updated forecast - statistical or manual forecast - with Commercial counterpart in Handshake Meeting and agree where local market intelligence is required
- Contrast with commercial analytics demand projections and financial revenue plans, for the brands in scope with the objective to identify risk and opportunities
- In case relevant: Manage country product allocation and quota's according to plans in collaboration with Global teams
- Collaborate with Country S&OP leads within own team and share outcomes from Demand Reviews to all relevant stakeholders
- BS/BA in business or relevant field (including supply chain degree)
- 5+ years of demand and supply planning experience (preferably in the biotechnology/ pharmaceutical industry) with 3 years in a business analytics role
- Fundamental knowledge of supply chain
- MBA or other advanced degrees with a quantitative background preferred
- APICS Certification preferred

Role Summary
Rivian is seeking a Director, Demand Planning, to lead Rivian in developing world-class practices for forecasting demand, planning production and managing inventory. In this role, you will lead and develop a team, define new processes, and implement technology to enable our growth as a leader in the electric vehicle space.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of consensus demand forecasts across Rivians product lines, leveraging statistical models, market insights, and business planning
- Lead the development and implementation of new processes to ensure tight alignment between on-the-ground inventory and demand across Rivians fulfillment network
- Partner with S&OP and IT teams to drive strategic projects for end-to-end demand planning capabilities and technologies, including the use of AI and ML to automate and inform commercial planning
- Act as a primary decision-maker and escalation point for demand/supply issues, ensuring timely resolution in partnership with other S&OP stakeholders
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of demand and inventory planners
- Provent track record of successfully leading end-to-end planning processes, including demand planning, sales and operations planning and inventory allocation
- Experience driving complex decision-making processes, including navigating conflicting viewpoints and proactively driving to consensus among senior leadership
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for executive audiences
- Deep understanding of consumer demand dynamics, including pricing and incentives strategy, particularly in the automotive or other durable goods industries
- Expertise in inventory and fulfillment strategy, including experience optimizing inventory levels and allocation in a network distribution model
- Strong team leadership and people development skills
- 8-10 years experience in demand planning, sales operations, supply chain planning, or management consulting
- Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis, SAP APO/IBP) preferred
- MBA with specialization in supply chain management, operations management, and/or data science preferred
Salary Rate for Irvine, CA Based Applicants: $149,000-230,000 per year (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Job Summary:
The Director, Demand Planning is responsible for leading a team that owns developing and maintaining accurate forecasts and effective planning practices that drive product replenishment, supplier collaboration/performance, logistics, operations, and product lifecycle management activities. Inventory represents one of the largest liquid assets of the corporation. Prudent stewardship of inventory has a significant impact on service to and satisfaction of our customers, revenue growth and customer acquisition, as well as the efficient deployment of working capital to fund ongoing operations, strategic initiatives, and acquisitions. High quality demand planning is critical to sustain optimal product availability, fill rates, inventory levels, and flow of goods.
This role resides in Syscos corporate Supplier & Inventory Management function. On a day-to-day basis, this leader works closely with peer leaders across Inbound Supply Chain, Merchandising, Sales, Operations, Field Leadership, and Finance to achieve operational objectives and ensure the effectiveness of planning regimens.
This leader is expected to provide subject matter expertise, industry perspective, and technical proficiency in statistical algorithms, analytical techniques, performance measurement, systems capabilities, best practices and continuous improvement opportunities related to demand planning and forecasting. This leader is also expected to have a proficient understanding of the inventory cycles and processes end to end to ensure there is clarity on the impact of changes to demand planning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operational Execution: This role is responsible for 1) rigorous execution of demand planning, forecasting and associated analytical activities, 2) ensuring the effectiveness of resources, initiatives, enabling technologies, governance, and 3) cross-functional coordination and change management required to meet defined goals, targets, and KPIs.
- Innovation & Strategic Road-mapping: Responsible for introducing industry best-in-class concepts, developing business-cases that support Sysco-specific business opportunities, and maintaining a strategic roadmap that drives the pace of innovation for effective demand planning & forecasting.
- Organizational Performance & Talent Development: Responsible for role definition & clarity, resource allocations, performance outcomes & management, and talent development of their team that successfully and sustainably achieves strategic business objectives, targets, and KPIs.
- Process Adherence & Improvement: Responsible for ensuring consistent application of best practices and defined business processes across the function. Appropriately identifies activities that can be improved, automated, outsourced, and/or eliminated and leads efforts to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering or related field with a quantitative focus
- 10+ years of progressive leadership results in business / data analysis, inventory planning, integrated business planning and/or broader areas of Supply Chain within National Organizations
- Familiarity and experience within a distributor channel (ex. grocery, auto parts, MRO, pharmaceutical)
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role with direct reports

Job Summary:
As Demand Planning Director, you will be responsible for driving the Demand Planning function and S&OP Process. You will have a team of 2 direct reports reporting to you.

Responsibilities:

- Support new product launch activity through the development of demand plans for initial inventory as well as scenarios for replenishment.
- Optimize inventory levels and tracking to meet customer, operational, product and financial/accounting needs.
- Problem solve and escalate supply and forecast issues.
- Work with different regions to create a global demand plan to share with supply planning team, to drive S & OP and optimize inventory allocation.
- Lead and improve S&OP process. As the S&OP expert of your team, you methodically enhanced the new process and created continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in demand planning and forecasting (CPG preferred)

Position Summary:
The Director of Demand Planning leads a team of 8-10 managers/planners in forecasting demand for our $2B+ VMS portfolionavigating high complexity from 350+ SKUs, seasonal peaks, and volatile consumer trends. We're in growth mode, with Kinaxis Maestro in early rollout (focus on stabilizing and optimizing), JD Edwards as our ERP system, and MS Fabric/Power BI for analytics that continues to mature with more user adoption. The Director of Demand Planning will be responsible for shaping the team & organization, upskilling desks, driving S&OP excellence, and integrating best practices from Gartner & other industry resources (e.g., AI-driven forecasting, collaborative planning) while partnering with Commercial Finance, Brand Marketing, and Sales. Success means accurate forecasts (target: 5% Bias, 25% MAPE), reduced stockouts/overstocks, and a high-maturity planning function that fuels business growth. This role is critical and highly visible expect to influence C-suite decisions and build a culture of data-driven agility.
Responsibilities:
Demand Forecasting & Planning
- Own end-to-end demand planning: Develop statistical models using Kinaxis Maestro, integrate ERP data from JD Edwards, and leverage MS Fabric for advanced analytics (e.g., predictive modeling for promo impacts).
- Drive forecast accuracy through scenario planning, bias elimination, and incorporation of
- Lead S&OP/IBP processes: Facilitate monthly cycles, align on consensus forecasts, and resolve gaps with cross-functional partners. Apply external best practiceslike Gartner's "demand sensing" frameworksto reduce forecast error in our volatile VMS space.
Lead the Sales & Operations Planning Process
- Lead the full S&OP/IBP cycle: Orchestrate monthly processes from demand review to supply balancing, pre-S&OP alignments, and executive meetings, ensuring alignment on consensus forecasts and resolution of gaps.
- Facilitate executive-level discussions and decisions: Present data-driven insights (via Power BI dashboards and Kinaxis scenarios) to C-suite and cross-functional leaders; guide debates on trade-offs (e.g., inventory costs vs. service levels, promo risks vs. revenue upside) to drive timely, informed choices.
- Elevate maturity using Gartner frameworks: Implement structured agendas, escalation protocols, and post-meeting action tracking to achieve Level 4 IBP (integrated, predictive planning); incorporate external learnings (e.g., from CPG peers) to foster a collaborative environment where decisions stick.
- Measure and improve: Track S&OP effectiveness via KPIs like decision velocity, forecast-to-plan adherence, and cross-functional satisfaction, aiming for 90%+ on-time resolutions.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, mentor, and upskill a team of demand planners; conduct desk-specific training on tools like Kinaxis Maestro and Power BI to boost maturity.
- Shape org structure for scalabilitye.g., segment planners by category (vitamins vs. supplements) and introduce performance metrics tied to Gartner or other industry benchmarks.
- Foster a high-performance culture: Regular skill assessments, external learning (e.g., APICS or IBF certifications or Gartner webinars), and cross-training to handle complexity.
Analytics & Tool Maturity
- Advance our tech stack: Accelerate Kinaxis Maestro adoption (from pilot to full integration), enhance Power BI dashboards for real-time visibility, and build MS Fabric capabilities for AI/ML forecasting.
- Identify and implement process improvements: Benchmark against Gartner maturity models, pilot new features (e.g., automated exception management), and measure ROI on analytics investments
- Build connections and linkages to the commercial teams POS forecasting tools and process to sharpen the collective demand view.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy
- Partner with Commercial Finance for financial forecasting alignment, Brand Marketing for promo planning, and Sales for customer insights, ensuring demand plans support revenue goals and feed into S&OP.
- Influence enterprise strategy: Present insights to leadership on risks/opportunities (e.g., supply disruptions in minerals sourcing), and apply learnings from industry peers (e.g., CPG benchmarks) to Pharmavite
- Risk management: Monitor global trends (e.g., regulatory changes in supplements) and build resilient plans to mitigate volatility.
Education:
- Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred (e.g., focus on operations).
Certification:
- APICs or IBF certification preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years in demand planning/forecasting, with 5+ in leadership roles at $B+ CPG/consumer health companies. Hands-on with tools like Kinaxis, SAP/APO, or similar; ERP exposure (JD Edwards a plus).
- Proven track record in S&OP/IBP for high-SKU, seasonal businesses, including executive facilitation.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Technical: Advanced analytics (MS Fabric/Power BI proficiency), statistical forecasting (e.g., ARIMA, machine learning basics), and process optimization. Extensive knowledge and experience in supply chain planning strategies, techniques, processes and systems.

National Target Base Pay Range: 135,000.00 - 235,000.00.
The salary range for this position is based on national standards . For candidates in California and the New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is 150,000.00 - 262,000.00, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.

Channel Level Reporting:
- Develop and improve forecast reports and executive dashboards
- Build, manage and refine reporting tools, such as Tableau and Google Sheets
- Report on and manage demand trends + channel level inventory guidance for demand channels
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy and process efficiency

We are looking for a highly analytical and collaborative Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Specialist/Demand Planning Analyst to lead demand and inventory planning for our Lighting Panels business. This role is critical in driving data-informed decisions across demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory optimization, ensuring alignment between commercial and operational teams. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Manufacturing to develop and maintain accurate forecasts, support capacity planning, and manage inventory strategies. This role also contributes to delivery performance improvement initiatives and supports product lifecycle management (PLM) through logistics planning for product introductions and phase-outs. You will make an impact with the following responsibilities: Lead monthly demand planning cycles and forecast updates for the Lighting Panels business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align forecasts with market trends, customer needs, and operational capabilities. Analyze demand signals and their impact on related product lines (e.g., circuit breakers). Manage inventory planning and stocking strategies to support service levels and asset efficiency. Support delivery performance improvement projects and logistics planning for new product introductions and obsolescence. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and delivery reliability. Continuously improve planning processes through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration. You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field. 2 plus years of experience in S&OP, demand planning, or supply chain roles. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Experience with SAP, APO, IBP, or other ERP/planning systems. Solid understanding of forecasting, inventory management, and capacity planning. Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable strategies.
