This is a pivotal role for an experienced analytics professional who wants to shape the future of business intelligence at scale. You'll be instrumental in establishing our Power BI practice , creating frameworks that enable self-service analytics, and mentoring business stakeholders to become sophisticated BI practitioners. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and implement BI best practices, standards, and governance frameworks. You will also contribute to the strategic roadmap for our federated BI transformation and collaborate with senior leadership on enterprise-wide analytics initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Work directly with early adopters across various business domains, translate complex business requirements into scalable BI solutions, and mentor business users to develop self-service analytics capabilities. You will also guide teams through the migration from legacy tools to Power BI.

  • Technical Excellence: Design and implement sophisticated data models, architect robust semantic layers, and create compelling dashboards and visualizations. This also includes writing high-performance SQL, optimizing data pipelines, and implementing security frameworks like row-level security.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active Secret (or higher) security clearance

  • 5+ years of advanced SQL development and optimization

  • 5+ years with modern BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)

  • 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development and administration

  • 3+ years designing and implementing SQL-based data models

  • Proven track record working directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions

  • Experience translating business needs into technical specifications and actionable deliverables

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience with dbt Cloud for data transformation and modeling

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Business Intelligence in Development and University Relations (DAUR), the Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated enterprise-level reporting solutions. This position leverages expertise in WebFOCUS and other leading BI platforms such as Argos and Cognos to meet complex business intelligence needs.

The incumbent will partner with the Senior Associate Director of Business Intelligence to create and enhance custom WebFOCUS reports, monitor and tune queries, and participate in business and technical discussions with leadership and end-users to ensure high-quality WebFOCUS reporting solutions.

Essential Functions

Assists with designing, developing, and implementing WebFOCUS reporting solutions using App Studio, Developer Studio, and ReportCaster.

Develops standard reports and ad-hoc reports, as well as complex data extracts using MS SQL and Oracle data sources to support strategic and operational needs.

Participates in functional, technical, and user acceptance testing efforts and resolves defects to ensure solutions are flawless.

Researches and tests other operational data reporting solutions to expand current reporting capabilities.

Helps maintain and refine the existing WebFOCUS report inventory and data extract programs to meet evolving analytics needs, identifying other BI platforms where appropriate.

Gathers and documents requirements for major new reporting development projects.

Helps create and maintain reporting best practices and standards documentation.

Maintains an in-depth knowledge of DAUR business requirements, specifications, and practices to guide BI/analytics development projects.

You are a thinker and a tinker, and you will play a key role in helping Evolv and our customers deliver measurable value through data.

Success in the Role: What are performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

In the first 30 days, you will:

  • Get hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server environments.

  • Refactor and improve existing data visualizations (responsive design, SQL, calculations, filtering, parameters).

  • Demonstrate best practices for developing with live vs. extract data sources, including row level security.

  • Configure Tableau Server users, groups, permissions, and subscriptions.

  • Monitor production extracts and resolve performance issues.

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Independently design and develop dashboards and data sources, using both established and innovative methodologies.

  • Collaborate with the front-end team to enhance embedding functionality using the Tableau JavaScript API (focus on asynchronous filter/parameter updates).

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer with strong data engineering skills to join our Cloud Software team. This role goes beyond dashboard building. You will design and develop embedded analytics solutions using Tableau while ensuring robust data pipelines and performance optimization. You are a thinker and a tinker, and you will play a key role in helping Evolv and our customers deliver measurable value through data.

Success in the Role: What are performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

In the first 30 days, you will:
  • Get hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server environments.
  • Refactor and improve existing data visualizations (responsive design, SQL, calculations, filtering, parameters).
  • Demonstrate best practices for developing with live vs. extract data sources, including row level security.
  • Configure Tableau Server users, groups, permissions, and subscriptions.
  • Monitor production extracts and resolve performance issues.
Within 3 months, you will:
  • Independently design and develop dashboards and data sources, using both established and innovative methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the front-end team to enhance embedding functionality using the Tableau JavaScript API (focus on asynchronous filter/parameter updates).
  • Conduct performance tuning for Tableau dashboards; use knowledge of Tableau calculations to detect bottlenecks and advise on moves to upstream data prep.
  • Work with engineering and business teams to define requirements.
  • Use Tableau Prep or similar ETL tools to optimize datasets.
By the end of the first year, you will:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to design production-ready Tableau content that drive decision-making.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing?
  • Dashboard Design: Building, refactoring, and performance tuning of interactive dashboards for embedded analytics on the web and mobile app.
  • Data Engineering : Utilizing strong SQL skills in Tableau to get data from AWS Aurora PostgreSQL database
  • Working with APIs : Working with back-end and front-end developers to make full use of Tableau APIs (ie Tableau JavaScript API, Tableau REST API) in the analytics stack.
  • Collaboration : Working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Problem Solving: Researching, proposing and implementing innovative strategies to solve analytics problems.
What Skills & Experience Do You Bring?
  • 5+ years of hands-on Tableau development and BI engineering experience, with a track record of delivering enterprise-scale projects.

Compensation and Transparency Statement

The base salary range for this full-time position is $119,000- $190,000. In addition to base salary, this role offers a competitive target bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. This range reflects our commitment to pay transparency and equity, in alignment with applicable state laws. Our compensation ranges are determined based on factors such as role, level, location, market benchmarks, and internal equity. The posted range represents the good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role across U.S. locations.   • The BI Developer will perform in depth and precise investigation and documentation of future-state reporting specifications and application reporting functionality.
  • The BI Developer must achieve in-depth knowledge of relevant software applications as well as understand policies, procedures and constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meet with stakeholders to understand business needs for data requests. Gather requirements, document, clarify, interpret specifications and review for completeness and accuracy.
  • Design, develop, validate and perform thorough functional testing of extracts, reports, visualization dashboards utilizing analytics tools and data sources such as, including but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, Tableau, WebI, SSRS, Power BI, Caboodle, Clarity, Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, Universes, Registry Framework and Data Marts, SlicerDicer, and other Business Intelligence Tools.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including faculty practice team members, administrators, IT staff, and vendors. Effectively communicate technical concepts and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and informed decision-making.
  • Monitor performance of BI outputs and take corrective action to optimize or improve the performance when necessary.
  • Gather, assess, and interpret substantial amounts of healthcare data, encompassing electronic health records, clinical data, financial data, and pertinent information. Offer insights and suggestions derived from the data analysis and interpretation.
  • Streamline documentation, scheduling, billing, and other administrative tasks, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency and reducing errors.
  • Provide training and support to healthcare staff on the use of health informatics tools and systems. Create educational materials, conduct workshops, and offer guidance to ensure proper utilization and understanding of dashboards, reports and other tools enabled by the team.
  • Participate in application validation and QA efforts as they pertain to data, metrics, and analytics solutions creation and execution.
  • Manage the inventory of BI objects and outputs. Assure that the metadata used for the Analytics Catalog is meaningful, standardized, complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Manage the data model for reporting for assigned Epic applications and/or business lines.
    • Manage the inventory of Clarity & Caboodle objects used for both published and ad hoc analytics. Assure that all object metadata is meaningful, standardized, complete, accurate, and up to date.

  • Manage the measures and metrics for assigned Epic applications and/or business lines. Assure that the metadata used for the Measures and Metrics catalog is meaningful, standardized, complete, accurate, and up to date. Note the content maintained in the Epic Metrics Catalog and use that as an anchor for organization metrics.
  • Review upgrade documentation related to analytics tools and content, determine the best implementation approach. Evaluate, anticipate and communicate risks to existing BI outputs and processes, and recommend ways to mitigate those risks.

  • Epic build experience in a live environment strongly preferred.
  • Epic implementation experience specific to clinical workflows and order management strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare related organization.
  • 5+ years demonstrated expertise in MS SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Strong SQL Programming Skills (MS SQL Server/Oracle platforms).

The Day-to-Day:

  • Independently manage product issues such as defects, patches, and upgrades, including deployment, testing, and post-production validation
  • Define, guide, and deliver medium-to-large business intelligence projects from beginning to end
  • Test business intelligence solutions, including creating test plans/cases/scripts and building test plans
  • Provide operational support and incident management for assigned systems, including proactively update internal clients and relevant parties on status changes and issues encountered

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience with business intelligence methods and tools required (Power BI, Tableau or similar)

THE POSITION

The Club Manager focuses primarily on providing strong leadership to associates and instilling an exceptional service culture for members. CLUB MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
