US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Position Summary

Mashgin is looking to hire our first Business Operations Director to partner closely with our CRO, CEO, and senior leadership team in tackling some of the most important growth challenges for the company. You Will Be
  • Taking on a mix of strategy and operations projects to accelerate growth, improve the customer experience, and increase operational efficiency
  • Working closely with leaders across the company on a project basis; finding and taking advantage of opportunities for growth, jumpstarting new teams/initiatives, and helping to get the most important new initiatives off the ground.
Projects could include items such as:
  • Developing and launching a channel sales program
  • Building the strategy and overseeing Mashgins international expansion (identifying cross-functional team requirements/dependencies, prioritizing markets, project managing new country launch process, etc.)
  • Undertaking market sizing projects to inform product development priorities
  • Reviewing pricing models and proposing adjustments based on vertical and product mix

Minimum Qualifications
  • 9+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, corporate planning, business finance, analytics, or related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and develop concrete action plans
  • Comfort with performing analytical work with large data sets to perform modeling, forecasting, and sales analyses
  • Experience working with executive leadership and partnering with sales leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes from scratch

About the opportunity:

Jerry.ai is looking for a Director, Business Operations & Strategy (Marketplace Growth) to help scale our core insurance business. We hit a huge milestone in early 2024 by achieving profitability and have ambitious goals for the next few years — scale from 5M to 50M customers and become a $1 B business. In this high-visibility role, you'll report directly to our VP of Insurance Operations, and own the systems, strategy, and execution behind Jerry’s quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance. Working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics, you will create a seamless user experience and ensure ongoing carrier success to drive critical outcomes for our insurance marketplace (loss ratio, retention, and conversion). This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategy of a category-defining fintech company at scale.

Jerry.ai is building the first super app to make car ownership affordable and accessible – insurance, buy/sell, registration, loans, safety, repairs, parking, etc – a $2T ma ket in the U.S. We started with insurance in 2019, and since then we’ve launched loan refinancing, driving insights, repair marketplace, car diagnostics, and a GenAI-powered chatbot & voicebot.
