**About This Role**
Carrier Commercial Service has an opening for a Business Operations Supervisor. Our highly-trained surgeons, speech pathologists, nurses and support staff work hard to provide each patient with individualized treatment and information to support the healthiest outcome possible. We also provide diagnosis and treatment for voice and swallowing conditions, sleep surgery, and complete audiology services, including diagnostic hearing evaluations and advanced hearing aid technology.
**The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic** at Harborview provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Summary:
The position supervises and coordinates the activities of the business team at the outpatient rehabilitation centers to ensure efficient and accurate patient scheduling, registration, insurance authorization, billing, coding, denial management and medical records maintenance. Collaborates with clinical leaders and manager to develop policies and procedures that impact the outpatient rehabilitation department
Responsibilities:
1.Manages the day-to-day operations of the business team at multiple outpatient rehabilitation locations. Responsible for the overall performance of staff including productivity and competency.
2.Evaluates individual and team performance, includes conducting performance review, counseling, disciplining, hiring new staff and recommending termination.
3.Establishes goals to ensure goals are in line with department and hospital goals.
4.Provides back up support as staffing or volume demands.
5.Integrates business functions with clinical needs to meet the needs of all customers.
6.Represents outpatient rehab business team at meetings.
7.Ensures compliance with established practices. Trains staff and implements new policies and keeps employees abreast of changes.
8.In collaboration with the manager, plans annual budget involving programs and expenses for business areas.
9.Prepares reports, monitors performance and analyzes trends to improve performance. Responsible for denial management.
10.Responsible to summarize and distribute internal quality audits reports, Medicare billing report, telephone access reports and other reporting when identified.
11.Responsible for business area performance improvement initiatives and action plans. Ensures overall compliance of business area.
12.Ensures resource management is in line with departmental needs at all outpatient rehabilitation locations.
13.Oversees system upgrades and product implementation. Serves as resource for outpatient staff.
14.Ensures the highest quality and timely delivery of services and customer service standards of excellence.
15. Must be able to travel to multiple rehabilitation locations
16.Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
17. Maintain and Model Nuvance Health Foundational Values (Personal, Imaginative, Agile, Connected).
18. Performs other duties as required.
