The Primary Responsibility of the Senior Operations BuyerThe primary responsibility of the Senior Operations Buyer is to assist in the purchase of all materials and supplies in support of assigned laboratory locations in their region, all inhouse equipment and supplies as well as indirect items and services. This is a hybrid-role, where the ideal candidate will be located near either of our Loveland, CO or New York City, NY hubs. The target pay range for this position can be between $66k-82k annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist Procurement Manager in initiatives, special projects, and training the procurement team.
- Drive the acquisition process to secure goods and ensure competitiveness.
- Review purchase requirements with internal stakeholder(s) to develop business need.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations/proposals on prospective purchases.
- Expedite goods if needed and follow-up on major orders to ensure proper handling and delivery.
- Minimize total cost of ownership associated with the purchase of goods and services.
- Support and assist assigned labs with all purchasing processes within the ERP purchasing system.
- Communicate immediately with the Procurement Manager on any issue (i.e., pricing, delivery, quality, backorder, discontinuation etc.) that will have multi/cross lab impact or effect.
- Review the lab's requisitions requirements via the ERP purchasing system to assure correct supplier, pricing, and quantity for the lab, based upon past ordering patterns.
- Ensure receipt of supplier confirmation for all purchase orders. Responsible for resolving any supplier issues pertaining to pricing or delivery, based upon supplier's confirmation. Issues should be resolved prior to shipment of product.
- Keep the labs informed of any deviations to their stated requirements.
- Follow up with supplier on any past due orders and communicate the updated delivery information to the labs.
- Resolve any invoice disputes and issues as presented by Antech Accounting, in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that any changes in documented pricing are presented to the Procurement Manager with justification.
- Assist labs with any purchasing-related issues they have in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ensure proper and timely filing/storage of PO and confirmation paperwork as required by Antech Management.
- Ensure to maintain the ERP purchasing system and that data integrity is accurate and as required per department policies and procedures. i.e., item number, manufacturer name, manufacturer part number, UOM, UOM conversion factor, classification, price, lead time, location(s) requiring the item, etc.

Associate or Bachelor's Degree Minimum of 8 years experience in supply chain, sourcing, or purchasing.

About the role
