Role Summary

We are seeking a Buyer to support our Supply Chain Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the hardware supply chain for our space-qualified radios. Your mission will be to have zero material-related downtimes. That means living inside lead-time data, keeping vendors a step ahead of commit dates, and never taking "on back-order" for an answer. If you thrive on white?knuckle build schedules, love spreadsheets and shop floors, and can turn a vendor into a partner (or fire them when needed), this seat is yours.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Command & Control Drive daily/weekly touch?points with PCB fabs, CM assembly houses, precision machining shops, and component distributors. Escalate at first slip and work alternate sources proactively.
• Schedule Ownership Maintain a 12?week material readiness dashboard; flag gaps >72?hrs; pull in or push out POs to match rolling build plans.
• Hands?On Material Handling Physically receive, inspect, and kit critical?path parts; personally walk hot?lots through reflow, or test when the schedule is at risk.
• NPI & ECO Integration Sync with design engineering on BOM churn, DFM feedback, and rev?control so changes hit the floor without surprise.
• Inventory Hygiene Maintain >98?% inventory accuracy in inventory systems; set safety?stock levels based on risk and consumption velocity.
• Risk?Mitigation & Contingency Plans Build should?cost models, qualify contract manufacturers and vendors, and own the single?point?failure register.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years managing hardware supply chains for high?mix, low?volume electronics (aerospace, medical, or automotive Tier?1 preferred).
• Proven track?record of recovering slips and hitting aggressive launch/build dates.
• Fluent in ERP/MRP (NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent) and advanced Excel/Sheets (index?match, pivot, conditional format, VBA/scripts a plus).
• Ability to read Gerbers, mechanical drawings, and a multi?level BOM; comfortable on the factory floor with ESD and IPC standards.
• High?urgency communicatorwrites concise action emails, runs tight vendor calls, and escalates before things burn.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Manage supplier on time delivery (OTD) performance, maintain system data integrity and measure performance on related key indicators (examples: past due purchase orders, open PO acknowledgements, PO expedites, non-conforming material return cycle time, and supplier invoice resolution)
+ Proactively identify, communicate, and assist with resolving issues that delay material deliveries
+ Support direction and strategies regarding supplier demand forecasting, supplier capacity planning, supply base inventory management, supplier replenishment and procurement transactions
+ Recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing, step pricing for volume discounts, and vendor evaluation criteria
+ Requisition major purchased items and coordinate timely processing of those parts finished outside the company. Establish good working relationships with suppliers and internal customers
+ Coordinate engineering change order (ECO) activities with suppliers and internal support functions
+ Work with Corporate Strategic Sourcing department to identify key and preferred suppliers for key categories of spend that support business unit and corporate objectives

Overview

The Buyer is responsible for the procurement process of supplies to support the daily operations of NAH departments by processing assigned department requisition requests. This position works closely with all NAH department requestors and is focused towards efficiency, cost reduction and control, inventory reduction and supply conversions. Description

The Commodity Supply Planner position provides the single point of contact between the supplier and customer service. This individual's primary role is to assist with the critical day to day tactical scheduling and ordering necessary for all of Avient Distribution's needs for their respective suppliers. This position's specific responsibilities are to plan inventory levels per the specific supplier goals, ensure optimal inventory deployment and manage inventory levels to meet service levels. The position requires strong computer and analytical skills combined with the ability to deal with large amounts of quantitative data. This individual must have the ability to actively listen to customer and supplier issues, efficiently troubleshoot problems and implement solutions in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

• Drives customer satisfaction and Avient profitability by balancing inventory levels and order fulfillment within established working capital guidelines.
• Enters, maintains and updates MRP forecasts for POD customers.
• Review MRP run output and create purchase orders.
• Purchase materials in the most cost-effective manner to meet customer requirements.
• Consider order quantities, hub and spoke opportunities, logistics modes and other cost savings opportunities.
• Build truckload STO deliveries to stocking points where possible based on material demand.
• Review MRP data to identify inventory and delivery exceptions.
• Define plan to resolve issues short term and long term.
• Maintain MRP forecasts and item notes by establishing effective communications with POD sellers and CSR's.
• Answer material requests from POD CSR's.
• Aids in managing the supply chain to meet operating plans balancing service needs and costs.
• Perform daily schedule maintenance based on new production/customer information.
• Interact with supplier CSR's and POD sellers/DM's to resolve issues and build consensus.
• Maintain forecasted demand for stock-able products at specific warehouses using forecasting models in SAP.
• Analyze and maintain data to create information on safety stock levels and forecasting requirements.
• Work with Customer Service and Sales to resolve aged inventory issues.

About Rosina:
Rosina Food Products, Inc. is a proud family-owned company and a trusted name in quality Italian food products. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Commodity Buyer to join our Supply Chain team and help manage key ingredients like flour, beef, pork, and chicken.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor inventory levels of major commodities and place re-orders based on usage, forecasts, and shelf-life
• Analyze market reports and provide purchase recommendations for meat and flour
• Participate in weekly commodity meetings and contribute updates and strategy
• Support least-cost meat planning and scheduling based on available inventory
• Execute and manage vendor contracts, terms, and delivery coordination
• Conduct annual bids for key categories to ensure competitive pricing
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including specifications, lead times, and service history
• Assist in sourcing new items or vendors as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and escalate issues as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred (not required)
• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, preferably in food manufacturing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of food labeling laws is a plus
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and build supplier relationships
