**Job Summary**
The UGE Cable Splicer is a skilled field position in the repair of electrical underground distribution systems, responsible for performing cable splicing functions, either new to new or new to existing, once the cable has been placed then rearranging the existing cable. This position supports the Splicing team and works with personnel within the department.
Responsibilities
+ Splice and rearrange cable pairs.
+ Open and bond cables.
+ Place and ground various types of enclosures.
+ Read splicing print and apply color code to print reading. Dig holes and replace the dirt when work is complete.
+ Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications
**Minimum**
+ High school diploma, or equivalent.
+ 3 years of experience.
**Preferred**
+ 5 or more years of experience.
