- Review and update any specifications on Velux Commercial products.

- Responsible for developing and updating product certification drawing packages submitted to certifying agencies.
- Responsible for the development of CAD Standards and implementation of standards within the product development group.
- Performs difficult assignments requiring considerable initiative, resourcefulness, accuracy and drafting expertise.
- Provide assistance or guidance to Velux Wells engineering and/or 3rd party PE Firms working to resolve redlines, on complicated jobs that may require nontypical structural solutions
- Uses both 2D and 3D software to redesign, modify or edit drawings.
- Provide swift innovate and practical solutions, for complex issues, directly resulting in maintaining promised lead time times.
Hourly Pay Range : $33.73 - $42.16 Compensation is based on the skills and experience of the candidate
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in CADD or a related field or Equivalent Professional Experience
- Minimum of Five years' experience in field of expertise is required
- Strong mathematical skills are required
- Computer Aided Drafting experience is required
- Solid Modeling experience is required
- AutoCAD experience is required
- SolidWorks experience is required
- Demonstrates proficiency in all office systems/skills, Microsoft Office.

You will be a member of the ACE UC CPU Design Automation CAD team. You will be responsible for:
+ Develop and to architect new tools and flows for RTL to physical design as well as enhance existing flows for better efficiency and robustness.
+ Develop and maintain RTL to layout design infra-structure, including full internal cloud management and optimization, permissions and license management. Compute and storage forecast and management.
+ Develop and support flows including a flow control manager which is responsible for running physical collateral through the necessary stages for backend integration.
+ Use ML and other techniques to analyze the content of the BE databases for better storage and faster access.
+ Analysis of compute and memory usage for the aggregate jobs of the FE and BE flows with the goal of more efficient and effective compute use.
+ Provide and support indicators that quickly measure compute, memory and disk resources for efficiencies and sends alerts when key resources are highly utilized.
+ Enablement and development of the Front-End (RTL, Verification) and back end (BE) databases and flows for ACE CPU physical design collateral. Includes the setup and support of the user environment for all design tools and flows.
+ Strong knowledge of cloud management tools
+ Familiarity with Data structures and Algorithms
You will work closely with the FE and BE design engineers as well as engineering compute (EC) for enablement and support of the BE environment.
**Qualifications:**
Candidate must have:
+ Bachelors Degree
+ 5+ years experience in programming and scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Perl/Tcl, Python, shell scripting, Linux/Unix, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
+ Prior experience related to chip design automation tools, flows and infra-structure.
+ Knowledge of VLSI physical and logical design as well as VLSI Design Automation tools.

Our client is seeking a skilled Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer to support the development of complex, mission-critical hardware. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team, contributing to innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with mechanical CAD tools and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed layouts, assembly drawings, and design documentation using advanced CAD tools (i.e., SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA, ProEngineer).
- Develop production-ready drawings for mechanical and opto-mechanical systems, ensuring manufacturability and accuracy.
- Create and revise detailed and assembly-level drawings, integrating changes and maintaining design records.
- Translate conceptual sketches and engineering input into final CAD models and drawings.
- Maintain organized file systems and version control for all production drawings and associated documentation.
- Review and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and design inputs to ensure alignment with technical and performance goals.
- Support updates to drafting and engineering standards as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers to support the design of components for optical assemblies, mechanical enclosures, and precision mechanisms across various platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
- 5-8+ years of experience in mechanical design and drafting using CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies, design tolerances, and fabrication techniques (i.e., machining, sheet metal).
- Experience working with complex mechanical and opto-mechanical components, including alignment and mounting techniques.
- Familiarity with thermal and structural analysis principles and their application in design.
- Ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering documentation and drawings to industry standards.
- Experience supporting multi-disciplinary teams and cross-functional design efforts.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in designing components for optical systems, especially EO/IR systems are preferred.
- Familiarity with military standards and specifications is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with structural and thermal analysis tools or coordination with analysts is a plus.
- Exposure to system performance testing and validation processes is preferred.
- Due to the nature of the work, an Interim clearance is required, however the candidate will need to obtain a Secret clearance (active Secret clearance is a plus).
