Job purpose A CAD Technician provides support to the survey department. The role will work with the field operations team to create 3D models for civil construction projects. This will include projects in road construction, airport and railroads. Models will be utilized in the operation of 3D machine control, construction layout, grade checking, and project material quantification for estimates and project final payments. Duties and responsibilities Create 3D models utilizing Carlson software and/or Civil 3D. Monitor and verify field measurements. Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, or similar) to create construction drawings, site plans, grading plans, and other technical documents. Assist senior technicians and engineers in performing field calculations and collecting as-built data from construction sites. Ensure that all collected data is accurately recorded, organized, and stored according to company and industry standards. Help maintain and calibrate equipment and other field tools to ensure proper functionality. Collaborate with construction teams and project managers to ensure that surveys meet project specifications and timelines. Stay current with the latest developments in construction technology including CAD tools. Qualifications 1 to 3 years related experience, road construction industry preferred. Experience with AutoCad or MicroStation. Civil 3D and Carlson software a bonus. Knowledge of land survey, particularly roadway construction. Proficient in MS Office products, especially Excel and Outlook. Ability to read and interpret plan sets, details, and specifications. Strong organizational and time management skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary:
Credit part-time, adjunct faculty teaching positions will teach, lecture and instruct laboratory coursework in various CAD and CAD-related curriculum. This teaching position requires knowledge of basic drafting skills as it relates to traditional drafting equipment with a strong emphasis on Computer-Aided Design/Drafting in the Mechanical Design industry. Candidate will have experience, knowledge, and understanding of the most current version of CAD design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks. Knowledge of Mechanical Drawing and Detailing (orthographic projection, multi-view drawings, isometric drafting, sectioning, auxiliary views, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing, annotation, and assemblies), 3D Parametric Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Processes.
Credit adjunct leads teaching discussions in the topics listed above. Candidates should have experience extending beyond theoretical knowledge into practical usage and understanding of core Computer Aided Design/Drafting components, manufacturing, and overall mechanical design process. Credentials you will teach will include certificate programs, specialized diplomas, associate's degree candidates, and students continuing to complete a four-year program.
Classes include morning, afternoon and/or evening schedules and will require laboratory preparation time in addition to lecture time.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in a related area from a regionally accredited college or university required.
Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of recent, relevant professional work experience using AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks in both 2D and 3D applications as they apply to various Industry areas. Computer and troubleshooting skills, knowledge of print reading and technical math required. Experience in CNC Technology, Robotics, Inspection, Metrology or CAM/CIM would be helpful.
Some form of academic instruction at the college level, including associate's degree level or above would be desirable but not required in lieu of experience. Ability to convey basic concepts to students following a prescribed curriculum is necessary.

The Design and Planning CAD Manager is responsible for developing schematic and design development drawings utilizing digital CAD tools. Key responsibilities include providing architectural and technical assistance to develop/design fixture plans, preliminary layouts and signage plans to support new and remodel facility programs for airport and off-airport properties. Acts as primary librarian for our facilities digital drawings archived on company network. Designs are to conform to prototype standards. Up to 10% travel may be required to survey facilities in preparation for planning the design test fits.

**What You'll Do:**
+ Develops digital CAD schematic design fit outs for airport and off-airport facilities supporting airport planners, real estate managers and other key corporate stakeholders. Design for off-airport facilities may be taken into detailed design development.
+ Develops signage key plans and design fixture kits for further development by outside vendors.
+ Creates architectural design packages to support for local jurisdiction submittals, not limited to but including renderings and sample boards.
+ Ensures all designs conform to Hertz, Dollar and/or Thrifty prototype standards and guidelines.

**Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:**
+ Development of an SOP for drawing management.
+ Development of a temporary SharePoint site for management of all drawings and documentation (ETOPs, etc).
+ Development of file naming structure in SharePoint and future use in Mercury (File by area, discipline, etc).
+ Receive drawings from ACC, convert into company CAD standards, file accordingly.
+ Partner with IT to lead/support the implementation of Mercury at the site.
+ Lead/support develop a plan and schedule for implementation of Mercury at RMC.
+ Transfer drawings and documents into the Mercury platform and ensure SOPs are followed, drawings and documents are filed appropriately and make any necessary updates to CAD drawings to reflect as-built conditions.
**You'll be a perfect fit if you have:**
+ Minimum of five years of design experience creating construction documents.
+ Efficiently prepare 2D drawings and 3D models of facilities and utility systems.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills, good customer relation skills, a positive work attitude, and willingness to learn new skills.
+ Self-motivated and able to produce high quality results within time and budget constraints.
+ Must have experience with the following software:
+ Microsoft Office applications.
+ AutoCAD 2013+.
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a GMP environment.
**Compensation and benefits offering:**
+ Pay: $75k - $125k a year (based on experience)

Barbaricum is currently seeking a proficient Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician to join our dynamic team in support of the Program Executive Office Soldier, focusing on the engineering, building, testing, and deployment of innovative cloud service offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Possesses and applies knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g. Solidworks, or Creo) for use in product development, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, testing, and integration of Soldier Equipment.
- Possesses and applies relevant engineering experience to generate innovative solutions for complex problems.
- Possesses the ability to conduct precision physical measurements to develop and analyze physical and virtual models for completion and accuracy.
- Proficient in the use of additive manufacturing (3d printing) equipment, with knowledge of current 3D printing processes, workflow, and associated technologies.
- Possesses and applies a working knowledge of the equipment carried and consumed by Soldiers in the conduct of tactical missions, Soldier and Squad Systems integration, and the DoD Systems Engineering Process.
- Assist in the definition, development and maintenance of Soldier System configuration models, tools, and procedures for the Warrior Integration Site.
- Support technical evolution and proposed changes to current Soldier System configuration and ensure continuous documentation of baseline configuration changes.
- Mission-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's and 10+ years of relevant experience.
