• Identify and determine new standards to support instrumentation and metrology calibrations.

• Utilize technical troubleshooting skills for instrument standards.

• Comprehend ISO and related standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ANSIZ540 in calibration and quality contexts.

• Conduct vendor quality audits of calibration service suppliers and manage vendor quality issues.

• Experience with CMMS systems like SAP, Maximo and MOX, and interface with corporate facilities teams on calibration matters.

• Provide technical consultation on measurement problems and lead technical project teams.

• Support deviation investigations, reverse traceability assessments, and implement corrective and preventative actions related to calibration and measurement issues.

• Assist in engineering and performance assessments for new technologies supporting standards, manufacturing, process development, and research equipment .

Experience and Knowledge Requirements

• A minimum of ten years of experience in metrology engineering, preferably at a large company's primary standards laboratory or in a comparable technical role involving advanced measurement engineering principles and complex technical assignments.

• Educational qualifications include a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.

• At least seven years of engineering experience in pharmaceutical or aerospace metrology or related fields is required

The Calibration Engineer is
responsible for developing the optimal engine calibration to meet drivability
metrics along with ensuring optimal emissions and fuel economy. The engineer is
responsible for the calibration maturity and development of sub features
resulting in an overall optimal propulsion system. This spans the entirety of
the lifecycle of development through conceptual phase, strategy development,
calibration execution to subsystem and vehicle level validation including

different types of propulsion system concepts and will include varying levels
of electrification. The work will coincide with a team of calibration engineers
and functions to deliver system level functional objectives mainly related to
emissions compliance.
The engineer will plan and
coordinate daily activities of propulsion dynos and vehicle related testing
which may include collaboration with technicians and laboratory support
engineers. In addition, test plans and timelines will be developed and executed
with reports generated to communicate status of the program to larger
development and management teams.

+ Obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited University
+ Demonstrated 3 or more years of work experience in the area of spark ignition engine controls and calibration
