Position Overview
The Technician role is a specialized, hands-on position involving the precision assembly, repair, and integration of small-scale electronic components used in advanced imaging systems. This role is essential to the success of our Imaging Division, directly affecting the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our production processes. The Technician will work under the supervision of the Division Manager and coordinate with the Director of Operations to meet production targets while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Electronic Assembly & Repair
- Assemble and repair fine-gauge wire harnesses and other small-scale assemblies following detailed schematics and diagrams.
- Work with delicate electronic components, ensuring accurate alignment and secure connections.
- Assist in replacing and aligning optical or electronic subcomponents as required to restore full system functionality.
- Component Preparation
- Select and prepare very small-gauge wires in compliance with technical specifications.
- Precisely strip and tin wires, ensuring optimal connection quality.
- Inspect parts to identify defects or irregularities before assembly.
- Assembly Integration
- Solder prepared wires to miniature electronic assemblies to exacting standards.
- Apply protective materials post-assembly to secure and protect components.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate assemblies into final products.
- Testing & Quality Control
- Perform functional testing to verify component performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and other relevant industry regulations.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Update and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Follow established revision control processes.
- Stay informed about relevant manufacturing and medical device standards.
- Production Targets & Process Improvement
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly production quotas.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes and improve throughput.
- Achieve monthly production goals for the CCD Division.
- Ensure all completed assemblies meet ENDOCORP’s quality benchmarks, minimizing rework or returns.
- Support process improvements that reduce turnaround times and increase efficiency
Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Vocational or technical training in electronic assembly or microelectronics.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fine-gauge wire harness assembly in a production environment.
- Working under microscope for full shift using fine eye-motor skills
- Skilled in soldering, crimping, and using precision assembly tools.
- Experience with PCB rework or repair is recommended.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong grasp of electrical systems, connectors, and wire types.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Summary Description: Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties related to the planning, direction, production and delivery of local content of the Telecommunications Division IPTV and other telecommunications products and services. The IPTV Camera Technician is responsible for providing assistance and support for various aspects of KPU Telecommunications IPTV services. This position must perform these duties in a manner that reflects positively on the division.
Representative Duties: The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Works with local organizations to develop and establish local programming suitable for airing on KPU's IPTV service, including local sports, and local events.
- Plans, conceptualizes and produces special events for local content.
- Plans, organizes, and executes technical set-up for live streaming events at the Borough, City, high School ball fields and others.
- Actively participates in the filming and editing of local content.
- Uploads completed edited work into IPTV system. Video-on-Demand server, including appropriate labeling.
- Works with Telecommunications staff to maintain local content video equipment and software.
- Supervises and trains temporary camera operators, including high school technology students.
- Maintains data base of all local content archived for future use.
- Produces sneak peeks for social media purposed of relevant programs.
- Assists with the marketing and sales for IPTV services and other KPU Telecommunications products and services.
- Provides back up to other telecommunications marketing staff.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications: The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time in order to successfully perform the assigned duties.
Knowledge of: Contract language and administration. Principles, practices, and techniques of marketing. Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. The operation of technical equipment related to television production, including satellites, receivers, and other equipment. Technology-based products and services, including internet service, telephony service, television production, and television delivery services.
Ability to: Negotiate and administer contracts. Educate customers on various IPTV and telecommunications products and services available through KPU. Compile data, maintain records and files, and participate in the preparation of administrative or technical reports. Operate office equipment including computers and supporting word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Education and Experience Guidelines - Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Education/Training: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, economics, accounting, telecommunications, or a related field. Experience in contract negotiation and management may be substituted for education. Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible contract administration, customer service, or sales experience. License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license.

Position Overview
This role combines precision lens and optics repair with hands-on support in sales order fulfillment . Key Responsibilities
Optics & Lens Repair
- Inspect, clean, and repair a variety of optical components used in endoscopic imaging systems.
- Replace or realign lenses, glass rods, and other optical assemblies with precision tools.
- Assess damage or degradation in lenses and determine appropriate repair or replacement.
- Collaborate with CCD Technicians and Engineering to ensure proper integration of optics with other components.
- Maintain cleanliness and calibration of optical repair stations.
Sales Order Fulfillment
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship parts and components according to customer specifications and sales orders.
- Verify part numbers, models, and quantities for each order.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all shipped items meet ENDOCORP’s standards.
- Coordinate with Inventory and Logistics to maintain up-to-date stock records.
- Communicate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or fulfill urgent customer requests.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain service records and logs for all optical repairs.
- Update part tracking systems and fulfillment software as required.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and internal quality protocols.
Process Support & Improvement
- Support ongoing efforts to streamline optics workflows and order fulfillment procedures.
