The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong marketing acumen. They know how to break down complex problems into manageable pieces, identify gaps, and can leverage data to tell compelling stories. They are comfortable representing their thinking with senior executives. This candidate should be able to lead cross-functional teams, and partner with stakeholders across the business who may have different objectives or focal points. This person understands the mechanics of marketing and has the operational marketing experience necessary to inform how strategies may be best operationalized. Key Responsibilities Partner with Brand Strategy and other key teams to operationalize and implement long term, foundational strategies. Work cross functionally to unlock new marketing motions to capture priority audiences more effectively. Translate audience response to specific products into strategic initiatives that expand penetration of other B2B offerings. Create data-validated, resonant, on-brand messaging and ad copy Contribute to planning cycles to ensure alignment with growth goals Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership and a go-to marketing strategy partner across the business. Partner with key teams to identify growth opportunities through market segmentation, competitive analysis, and customer insights; convert findings into actionable marketing plans. Present and influence at senior executive levels Qualifications Experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, or related strategic functions. Skilled in growth strategy development, brand development, go-to-market, marketing execution, portfolio architecture, messaging, advertising, and product marketing. Experienced across a variety of categories and audiences including B2B, government, telecom, entertainment/media, and technology. Experience working for a top-tier strategy consultancy or an internal marketing / growth strategy team highly preferred. Proven ability to turn market and segment-level insights into actionable strategies that drive portfolio-wide growth. Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing performance metrics, customer data, and market research. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. **The Opportunity**
_We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and creative leader for the development, execution, and optimization of data-driven marketing strategies that align with Black & Veatch goals for business growth._ This role requires a visionary thinker who can translate complex market insights into actionable strategies that drive brand growth, customer acquisition, and revenue performance. This role will serve on the extended leadership team for the EMEA region, by translating the regional strategic growth goals into impactful marketing campaigns that grow its customer base. This senior, dual role on the marketing leadership team, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will also serve as a global marketing strategy leader, influencing strategic decisions and investment decisions across the entire enterprise.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Strategic Planning:**
Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies for both the Enterprise with the Sector Heads of Marketing and specific personal accountability for EMEA across brand, product, digital, and customer experience, in alignment with overall company objectives.
**Market & Competitive Analysis:**
Review research and analysis of market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning to inform strategic direction?
**Campaign Strategy:**
Partner with creative, digital, and product marketing teams to design and launch effective campaigns that generate leads, build awareness, and engage target audiences that lead to quantifiable targets in marketing attributed revenue growth, thought leadership and brand awareness
**Performance Measurement:**
Establish KPIs and dashboards to track marketing effectiveness. Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to leadership.
**Go-to-Market Execution:**
Collaborate with sales, product, and business units to ensure cohesive execution of go-to-market plans for new products, services, or launches.
**Budget Management:**
Manage strategic marketing budget, optimizing spend across channels based on performance and ROI.
**Cross-functional Leadership:**
Influence and align stakeholders across marketing, sales, business and sector, solutions, finance, and executive leadership to ensure strategy success.

+ Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
+ 15+years of experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, or related roles
+ Experience leading new market entry and marketing in global regions including establishing brand and portfolio presence.
+ Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of marketing metrics, segmentation, and customer journey mapping
+ Experience in B2B commercial functions for infrastructure and energy industry segments
+ Proficiency with CRM, analytics tools, and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics)
+ Strong writing, communication and presentation skills?
+ Executive presence and ability to work alongside and coach senior executives as counsel
+ Ability to travel (~ 40% of the year) domestically and globally required including time in Kansas City at Black & Veatch corporate headquarters as well as in market with commercial and client teams
+ Demonstrated ability to develop strategies that translate into measurable business results
+ Proven track record of leading successful marketing initiatives on a global scale across the entire marketing / omni-channel toolkit

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of assigned market(s), including fan demographics, audience segmentation, consumer spending habits, effective marketing channels and cross promotional opportunities
- Research, identify and build relationships with new and existing contacts, including local venues, media, teams, corporations and business associations, to develop opportunities that drive incremental revenue

- Work cross divisionally with internal teams (including Sales, Creative, Digital and Social Media, Public Relations, Special Events, TV, Loyalty Marketing, Ticketing, Merchandise, and Finance/Accounting) to ensure maximization of internal resources for event marketing and sales campaigns
