The ** Campus** **Security Officer**  position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. **Essential Functions:**

+ Conduct scan patrols of fixed locations.
+ Arming/unarming, locking, and unlocking of buildings.
+ Monitor camera systems.
+ Maintain basic preventative maintenance checks for the security vehicles.
+ Able to direct traffic and monitor parking lots.

**Position Requirements:**

The Campus Safety Officer will be responsible for supporting the security operations within assigned areas of a boarding school campus and sports training destination that spans over 400 developed acres.   

Position Responsibilities   

• Safety Leadership: Proactively patrol campus property for up to 8 hours, ensuring all areas are secure, identifying maintenance needs, and addressing unsafe conditions.
• Access Control: Screen and authorize visitors, vehicles, and guests entering the property to maintain campus security.
• Student Accountability: Monitor student entry and departure to ensure safety and proper accountability.
• Emergency Response: Swiftly respond to emergencies and security-related calls, providing first aid/CPR/AED when necessary.
• Incident Reporting: Investigate incidents, maintain detailed reports, and log all safety concerns with professionalism and care.

Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English necessary. Must have the ability to work under pressure, deal with people under stressful situations while maintaining composure, and be able to react and make sound decisions quickly in demanding conditions. Must be polite, courteous, and professional at all times and ready to observe and recall situations and events. Must be able to understand and carry out complicated oral instructions. Must be willing and available to work weekends and overtime shifts. Prior police or military experience is a plus.

Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel and visitors at corporate (NWA) locations. The Campus Security Officer, Overnight will be responsible for supporting the security operations within assigned areas of a boarding school campus and sports training destination that spans over 400 developed acres.   

Position Responsibilities  

• Safety Leadership: Proactively patrol campus property for up to 8 hours, ensuring all areas are secure, identifying maintenance needs, and addressing unsafe conditions. 

• Access Control: Screen and authorize visitors, vehicles, and guests entering the property to maintain campus security. 

• Student Accountability: Monitor student entry and departure to ensure safety and proper accountability. 

• Emergency Response: Swiftly respond to emergencies and security-related calls, providing first aid/CPR/AED when necessary. 

• Incident Reporting: Investigate incidents, maintain detailed reports, and log all safety concerns with professionalism and care. 

• Policy Enforcement: Collaborate with Student Life to uphold campus rules and policies as they apply to students. 

• Team Contribution: Attend daily briefings, arrive on-time and in-uniform, and keep all Campus Safety posts clean and orderly. 

• Process Improvements: Identify areas for enhancement in safety procedures and share ideas with supervisors. 

• Other duties as assigned by management 

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one 

• Fluent in English with strong communication skills (written and verbal) 

• Completion of D-license training within 6 months of hire 

• Proficiency with strong Microsoft Office and willingness to learn proprietary systems   

• Must maintain composure and objectivity while in stressful, high-pressure situations 

Preferred 

• Associate degree or higher 

• Experience in security, law enforcement, or military service 

• Bilingual - English and Spanish 

• First aid/CPR/AED certified 

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

• Ability to lift, carry, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 40lbs 

• Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift 

• Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time. 

• Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc. in all weather 

• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. 

• Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers 

• Ability to flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
