**Description**
Landscapers, under the direction of a Crew Leader, constructs, plants, maintains, and repairs new landscape areas in assigned sections of campus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Operates ground maintenance equipment including lawn movers, trimmers, edgers, backpack and street blowers and pressure washer equipment.
+ Prunes trees and shrubs.
+ Removes trash and debris from assigned areas of campus.
+ Monitors and activates irrigation systems.
+ May apply fertilizer and pesticides to landscape areas.
+ May drive utility vehicles to and from worksites.
+ Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A high school diploma or equivalent.
+ One year of landscape or grounds maintenance experience.
+ Some positions within this classification may require a valid Category 24 Ornamental and Turf Control Pesticide Applicators License from the Georgia Department of Agriculture or the ability to obtain certification within six months of employment.
+ Some positions within this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license, an insurable driving record.

+ Reporting to the Assistant Director, Commissioning/Control, this position's primary responsibility is to further enhance Emory's Sustainable Performance Program (SPP) and Existing Building Commissioning (Re-Cx) initiative. Requires close collaboration with the University's Commissioning Manager, Utility Engineer and Utility Technician, as well as utility central shop and zone personnel.
+ Primary responsibility is overseeing projects and processes in order to achieve optimal performance of facility mechanical systems.
+ Other job duties include identifying and implementing energy saving strategies, monitoring and tracking facility performance information and establishing proper operation and maintenance procedures that insure sustainable performance of buildings.
+ Specific duties related to Re-Cx include managing the Re-Commissioning process, identifying and recommending projects for re-commissioning and developing scopes of work and RFP's.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and three years of experience with Commissioning or related processes or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

+ Reporting to the Director of Utilities, manages overall maintenance of the steam plant, outlying boilers, campus steam distribution system, chilled water plants, and chilled water distribution system.
+ Responsible for ensuring that preventative maintenance and repairs are performed in a timely manner.

+ Continues to evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in methods and processes to increase efficiency, productivity and quality.
+ In conjunction with the Plant Operations Manager, Zone Supervisors, Project Managers, contractors and customers, coordinates planned maintenance and unscheduled maintenance with the objective of minimizing equipment down time.
+ Provides input on future repair and replacement projects.
+ Provides technical expertise for steam and chiller systems.
+ Hires, supervises and evaluates a staff of approximately ten, including steam mechanics, chiller mechanics, boiler mechanics, and boiler operators.
+ Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A high school diploma or equivalent required and seven years of facilities management/plant maintenance experience of a multi-boiler, high pressure steam plant as well as large chiller plant operations.
+ College coursework in a technical field is preferred.
+ Supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
+ A Second Class Power Engineer's License issued by National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers is required.
+ A valid Georgia driver's license is required as well as insurable to drive an Emory vehicle.

**Description**
JOB DESCRIPTION:
+ Supports the safe and efficient operation of steam plant boilers (up to 4,000 BHP) and Chillers (up to 2000 tons) and other equipment associated with the steam and chiller plants in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards.
+ Performs routine inspections of the steam boiler plant.
+ Records pressure / temperatures and other key operational data at routine intervals.
+ Supports operations associated with an electrical power distribution panel.
+ Performs minor mechanical piping repairs.
+ Performs preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with engineering practices on utility systems which include but are not limited to the following: compressed air, CO2, steam boilers, water purification, fuel oil, chillers, and glycol.
+ Supports the boiler chemical water treatment program.
+ Supports the cleaning and upkeep of the boiler room to prevent fire hazards.
+ Operates hand and power tools.
+ Takes the necessary precautions, in keeping with OSHA standards and other applicable federal and state regulations, when working with hazardous chemicals and materials and power equipment.
+ Uses personal protective equipment as required.
+ Performs other related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A high school diploma or equivalent.
+ Three years of experience supporting steam operations.
+ A working knowledge of OSHA and EPA safety requirements.
+ Some positions in this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.
+ All candidates must be capable of frequently lifting and carrying 50 pounds and be capable of pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds properly.
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

+ Serves as a back-up to the Manager, Plant Operations, and trains new Plant Operators on the operation of the Emory steam and chiller plant systems.
+ Operates and controls utility panels that monitor equipment to maintain utility services to the plants.
+ Maintains and records entries in logbooks, operating logs, and regulatory reports.
+ Oversees operations associated with an electrical power distribution panel.
+ Reads and interprets OEM Manuals; reads precision instruments.
+ Performs minor mechanical piping repairs.
+ Performs preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with engineering practices on utility systems which include but are not limited to the following: compressed air, CO2, steam boilers, water purification, fuel oil, chillers, and glycol.
+ Samples, tests, analyzes, mixes and injects chemicals to maintain boiler waterside conditions and blow downs. Inspects the steam plant to check meters, charts, pressures and temperatures.
+ Ensures a clean boiler room to prevent fire hazards.
+ Operates hand and power tools.
+ Takes the necessary precautions, in keeping with OSHA standards and other applicable federal and state regulations, when working with hazardous chemicals and materials and power equipment.
+ Uses personal protective equipment as required.
+ Drives utility vehicles to and from work sites and safeguards against vandalism and theft.
+ Performs other related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience in a multi-boiler high pressure steam plant.
+ Holds a Second Class Power Engineers License issued by the National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers, Inc. (NIULPE).
+ A working knowledge of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes for power boilers.
+ Some positions in this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.
+ All candidates must be capable of frequently lifting and carrying 50 pounds and be capable of pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds properly.
