As an Auto Repair Shop General Manager, you maintain our operations, help customers, and oversee the team. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automotive repair, preferably in fixed operations or service management

• Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, repairing dents, fabricating parts, and replacing damaged sections.
• Conduct structural and frame repair using specialized equipment (e.g., frame machine, welding equipment).

• Ensure all repairs meet OEM specifications, safety standards, and customer expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all shop safety protocols.
• Operate and maintain a variety of shop equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Order necessary parts and materials for repairs, ensuring accuracy and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with paint technicians, service advisors, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
• Document all repairs performed, parts used, and labor hours accurately.
• Stay up-to-date with new vehicle technologies, repair methods, and industry best practices through ongoing training.
• Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure high standards are met.
• Handle vehicle movement safely within the shop and lot.

• High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a vocational program in auto body repair or collision technology preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Auto Body Repair Technician in a reputable collision center or dealership.
• Proficiency in all phases of auto body repair, including frame pulling, structural repairs, panel replacement, and minor mechanical work.
• Expertise in welding (MIG, TIG) and other metalworking techniques.
• Familiarity with various types of vehicles and their construction.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• ASE certification in Collision Repair (e.g., B2, B3, B4, B5) is highly preferred.
• Possession of own tools is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues and service advisors.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
• I-CAR certifications are a significant plus.

How about we skip right to the matter at hand? Our auto repair company has 4 locations in Northwest Columbus. We are biased, but we think we run a very good auto repair shop, not perfect, maybe not the best, but very good. We are working to improve the industry by giving technicians a nice place to work(A/C, up to date tools, clean work space etc), Advisors who can sell and managers who care about their employees and customers.

Getting the bad news out of the way: we have high expectations from our employees. If you can't show up on time every time, if you do crappy work just to produce more hours and have a generally bad attitude, you will not be working with us for very long. We are a flat rate shop, this can be good or bad news depending on your mindset.
