Trauma/Tertiary Care Center serving over one million people in Virginia. This leadership position requires advanced expertise in cardiac imaging with a vision to develop and expand Cardiac CT and MRI services throughout our system of 7 hospitals and multiple ambulatory sites. The physician will play a key role in enhancing clinical programs, fostering collaboration, and advancing research and education in cardiovascular imaging. In addition to the program leadership responsibilities, the successful candidate will also have a clinical role as a non-invasive cardiologist. Formal and bedside teaching of Cardiology Fellows, Internal Medicine Residents and other learners, as well as participation in Research is a core part of our Academic Mission. Qualifications include Board Certification in Cardiology and Advanced Cardiac Imaging. Level III training in Cardiovascular CT and/or Cardiac MR.
Carilion Clinic's Cardiovascular Institute will expand significantly this summer with the opening of the new Crystal Spring Tower in July 2025. The new tower will be the home for the Cardiovascular Institute and the expanded Emergency Department. The new signature building will add over 500,000 square feet to the hospital and will include the following: 3 Cardiovascular operating rooms, 2 Endovascular operating rooms, 2 General Vascular operating rooms, 6 Cardiac Catheterization labs, 3 Electrophysiology labs, 76 Intensive Care and Progressive Care inpatient rooms, 46 Pre-and Post-care rooms, 5 Trauma bays (including 1 dedicated peds bay - the only in the region) , 95 Dedicated ED beds, and 40-bed ED observation unit.

**What you will be doing:**
**Clinical Leadership**
+ Lead the support for all clinical studies - both for regulatory purposes as well as physician initiated collaborative studies. They will be responsible and accountable for case support plan and execution, physician training, internal field training, training materials, data analysis, publication support and collection of data for supporting platform claims.
