Primary Responsibilities:
1. Responds professionally and in a timely manner to all inbound calls received.

The Medical Imaging Specialist is responsible for providing CT and MR imaging expertise for the client's 3D modeling service and operation team. This includes performing initial inspection of CT and MR scans received for 3D model segmentation, providing in-process consultation for segmentation technicians, and performing final QC for segmented 3D models to ensure delivery of high-quality 3D models to customers for use in patient education, pre-operative planning and intra-operative reference. Additional functions of the position are described herein.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience with a University degree, or 6 years of experience with a Master's degree, with a clinical focus area related to medical imaging (CT and MR) interpretation, or 3 years of clinical experience with a registered radiologic assistant (RRA) degree.
- Familiar with CT and MR scanning protocols (thoracic, abdominal and pelvic).
- Experience with case management in a clinical setting, including operational efficiencies in clinical trials and effective communications with clinicians.

- Provide in-process consultation for segmentation technicians. This includes providing imaging interpretation and checking segmentation accuracy.

Job Description
The Medical Imaging Equipment Specialist I (MIESI) will, with minimal supervision, provide a variety of tasks including repairs, calibration, testing and maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment to ensure safe and appropriate operations. This position will also be responsible for performing electrical safety tests on clinical imaging equipment and acting as a resource for staff members who will use diagnostic imaging equipment.
Responsibilities:
Repair, install, maintain, calibrate and inspect diagnostic imaging systems
Perform preventative maintenance and safety testing of diagnostic imaging systems
Maintains documentation of all activities and test results according to department policy
Acts as a resource to Centra staff in the proper operation and maintenance of equipment
May spend as much as % of their time on routine Biomedical Engineering work
Works with Senior team members to prioritize work efforts independently
Expected participation in x on-call rotation, to support functions for a variety of diverse industries, including: Healthcare, Hotel, Higher Education/College, and Insurance
May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time

May be required to coordinate and/or supervise vendor service technicians as needed
May be asked to help prioritize work efforts for Level I and II staff
Able to instruct others in the working knowledge/use of following tools/equipment: Oscilloscope, KVP meter, Medical Equipment test equipment and test fixtures, Digital multimeter, Signal generator, Soldering equipment, Light mechanical shop tools
Expected participation in 24x7 on-call rotation, to support functions for a variety of diverse industries, including: Healthcare, Hotel, Higher Education/College, Insurance
Leads efforts to evaluate new equipment
Leads efforts to mentor and train Level I and II staff members
Improves services by using feedback from staff, patients, and supervisor
Keeps up to date with new equipment and services

Maintains a written record of all training and learning activities

Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma / GED. Combination of education and/or equivalent military service with basic electronics or electro-mechanical experience may also be accepted in lieu of Diploma / GED
Preferred Education: Associate's degree in biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics
Required Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of related biomedical and/or electronic work experience. Must exhibit good interpersonal skills and be flexible and available to work with employees at all levels. Must present good verbal and written communication skills. Able to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results. Work must be complete, correct, and neat. Must use resources to handle workloads in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Uses good judgment by finding facts, choices and possible solutions. Keeps up to date with new equipment and services.
