+ Perform ongoing surveillance of patients' cardiac monitors, cardiac rhythm and vital signs.
+ Notify nursing caregivers of changes in cardiac rhythm and/or hemodynamics that could impact the patient's condition.
+ Interpret patient's cardiac rhythm and document in the patient's electronic medical record.
+ Answer the telephone and communicate clearly when receiving and delivering information.
+ Orient and mentor new caregivers and serve as a training and troubleshooting resource for the CMU and nursing units.
+ Provide reports for the oncoming shift.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology, computer and typing skills.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Knowledge and understanding of basic patient care activities through successful completion of a formal training program in Allied Health or a healthcare field
