**Job Summary**
Supervises the day to day operations for nursing staff and nursing activities. Functions in a structured care setting and adheres to the policies and procedures established by Sanford. Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the clinic patient. Oversees care for clinic patients of all ages following established standards and practices. Expertly skilled in the functions of the applicable technical software setting and process/utilization improvement. Improves clinical patient care processes for quality patient outcomes. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, clinical support staff and the public. Assists and supports human resources administrative processing and procedures with staff management. Responsible for utilizing and ensuring staff follow the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. Responsible for the coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. Collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including providers to plan, implement and evaluate care. Maintains current certifications in specialty and continues education when necessary as well as tracks and maintains for staff as needed. Learns new concepts, processes and tools related to own personal development and education. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. **Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
For Rural Health Network facilities only, employees hired after January, 2025, who do not possess a Bachelor's degree in the required field, leadership may consider an educational plan with proven continuous action toward achieving a Bachelor's degree in Nursing within five years of hire into position. Approval from the Nursing Executive for the market is required in order to waive the bachelor degree requirement at time of hire. Additionally for Rural Health Network facilities, for current employees, leadership may have considered acceptable qualifications and work experience equivalency based on facility size, rural market, and business need, prior to new Sanford education requirements.
Three years' experience as a registered nurse (RN) in a clinical role preferred. Thorough knowledge of the nursing practice act and standards of nursing care, and a working knowledge of administrative and management techniques.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being served reside. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Certification may be required depending on specialty or service area. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

This position is a .7 FTE, working 56 hours per 2 week pay period. This position works 8 hour shifts, every other weekend rotation (Fri,Sat,Sun), and on the night (11pm-7:30am) shift.
The Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurse/caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies. The Nursing Assistant does not work autonomously but works under the direction of a professional nurse. The Nursing Assistant may be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager/charge nurse.
Provides basic patient care by performing routine duties to include:
+ Personal grooming, bathing, toileting, Feeding,
+ Skin care needs (clean and sterile dressing changes), applying ointments/creams,
+ Oral hygiene,
+ Specimen collection/testing,

OR
+ Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
OR
+ Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position

The Cardiac Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
• You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
• You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities
• You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team
• You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program required
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required
