Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple electrical construction projects ranging from $3.5M to $M annually.

Youll be responsible for managing all phases of project execution, from pre-construction planning to final delivery, while ensuring financial success, safety compliance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead 35 active projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Ensure safety, quality, and financial targets are met
  • Oversee scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and client communications
  • Develop project execution plans and manage documentation
  • Mentor assistant PMs and project staff (10+ team members)
  • Coordinate with GCs, vendors, and internal departments
  • Forecast monthly financial performance and manage scope changes

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of successful electrical construction project experience
  • Proficient in Viewpoint, ACCUBID, Bluebeam, MS Office
  • OSHA 30 required; PMP certification
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
  • Willing to travel (With some overnight stays)

Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Sr. Site/Civil Project Manager with a specialization inData Centers and Critical Facilities to join its rapidly growing national practice and spearhead the firm's growth in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan market. This individual will serve a key function in design, permitting and client management/development efforts for a variety of land development projects, becoming part of the leadership team behind Langans continuing growth in the data center market.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally with top firm-wide and industry leadership, fueling a developing Data Center practice, on a diverse arrayof premier land development projects. While the ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial demeanor, this individual will be provided robust resources for a successful integration and career with Langan, including support from and collaboration with engineering leadership throughout the firm.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead site/civil and multi-discipline efforts on a variety of project sites, with a focus on data centers, including the design and oversight of site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
  • Design and permit data centers, in addition to institutional, commercial, warehouse and distribution, and mixed-use projects for both public and private clients;
  • Drive business development activities by identifying new data center clients for the firm and maintaining relationships with existing clients;
  • Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitors budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimizes write-offs by keeping projects on budget;
  • Report and proposal writing. Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports;
  • Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Valid Professional Engineer license;
  • 10+ years of related site/civil engineering experience with particular expertise in land development on data center projects;
  • Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations;
  • Strong client development, client communication, client management abilities, and ability to develop new work;
  • Site/civil experience on a variety of project sites including the ability to design site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
  • Strong client development and client management abilities;
  • Effective leadership and management practices;
  • Demonstrated ability effectively managing projects from concept through construction documents;
  • Active participation in professional organizations;
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, mentor and lead others;

  • Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid drivers license in good standing; and

AWS data centers are the foundation upon which our software and services operates to meet the growing demands of our customers. This role provides you the opportunity to collaborate with business development, design engineers, data center operations professionals, external vendors and consultants, and other cross-functional teams to assess designs and select colocation facilities that meet our business requirements.

You will be able to showcase your management skills and understanding of data center design, engineering, and operations of infrastructure common to data centers, Telecommunications facilities and other critical environment infrastructure.

You and your team will work directly with internal business teams and with colocation vendors to identify, document, and resolve any operational/design deficiencies which could impact a site's capability or availability.

You will have opportunities to influence, build, and improve processes to guide the direction of our colocation data center portfolio on a global scale. Key job responsibilities

You will be responsible for setting the direction and providing team oversight for the following team deliverables:

- Conducting site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers, legacy facility upgrades, and general capital endeavors.

- Performing risk analysis and availability calculations for vendor owned and operated collocation data center's infrastructure to determine fit-for-use/fit-for-service.

- Influencing AWS' design and specification requirements to meet our business needs for AWS colocation products.

- Investigating and documenting root-cause failure analysis associated with infrastructure and equipment failures.

- Working with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and codes.

- Collaborating with other engineering, operations, and commissioning teams to properly test and validate the installation, operation, and performance of critical electrical/mechanical/fire suppression/controls systems/structural systems.

- Supporting Operations, data scientists and other business partners to determine utilization, efficiency, and performance analysis on critical systems.

- Travel to Data Center sites as required - International & Domestic (up to 50%)

- Assigning and setting priorities for team deliverables for assessments of vendors' critical infrastructure designs, performance of risk analysis and availability calculations for vendor collocation data center's infrastructure needed to determine fit-for-use/fit-for-service for AWS cloud compute and networking services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related discipline, or 10 years commensurate industry or military experience in lieu of degree

- 5+ years experience of focused engineering team management experience for teams conducting Data Center or Carrier-class Telecommunications design, engineering, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) of data center critical environment infrastructure.

- Business level English language skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Master's degree in engineering or MBA

•10+ years cumulative engineering design management experience

•PE or EIT

•Prior project management experience; PMP, PMI
