Job Description

Who We're Looking For:

Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where you're constantly connecting the dots? We're looking for a Staffing Coordinator who's detail-oriented, caregiver-focused, and ready to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

At Tandem, Staffing Coordinators play a key role in building the foundation for great care. You'll be interviewing caregivers, coordinating schedules, arranging meet and greets, auditing timecards, and keeping communication flowing between our team and the field. If you love structure, are obsessed with details, and feel energized managing logistics and supporting people, this could be the perfect fit.

Position Details - Please Read Before Applying:

This is a fast-paced, full-time role with a fixed schedule and weekly overtime. Candidates should be fully comfortable with the following:
  • Pay Rate: $24-$26 per hour, depending on experience
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, plus one weekend morning (Saturday or Sunday), 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM
  • Overtime: This position includes a minimum of 5 hours of overtime every week, paid in accordance with state law
  • On-Call: You will participate in an on-call rotation every other week. Any calls that come in outside of business hours must be addressed promptly, and all time spent is paid as overtime
  • Remote Role: Must be comfortable working from home, on the phone, and on your computer throughout the day
This isn't a traditional 9-5 position. It's structured, fast-paced, and designed for someone who thrives with a full calendar and clear expectations. You'll be on the phone and in virtual meetings throughout the day, working closely with caregivers and internal teams - so it's important that you're comfortable being on camera and at your desk for most of your shift. If you like staying busy, enjoy problem-solving in real time, and prefer a set routine with predictable hours (plus weekly overtime), this could be a great fit.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Staffing Coordinator at Tandem, you'll be on the front lines of caregiver coordination - part recruiter, part scheduler, part problem-solver. You'll work closely with caregivers and internal teams to ensure each case is launched smoothly and maintained with accuracy and care.

Your day-to-day will include:
  • Caregiver Interviews & Onboarding: Screen new caregiver applicants, assess fit, and help guide them through our onboarding process.
  • Staffing New Cases: Match caregivers to Companion Care clients based on preferences, skills, and availability. Coordinate introductions and follow up after meet and greets.
  • Caregiver Support & Communication: Be a go-to contact for caregivers in the field, helping with questions, documentation, and early-stage coaching as needed.
  • Timecard & Reimbursement Oversight: Review and audit caregiver timecards, mileage, and reimbursements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Client Support: Assist clients with logistical or documentation questions, especially around scheduling or visit tracking.
  • Onboarding Support: Help the Care Coordinator with new caregiver orientations and client onboarding steps.
  • Documentation Audits: Ensure all schedules, timecards, and client visit notes are complete and accurate.
  • Phone & On-Call Backup: Support the team by backing up phones during business hours and participating in the on-call rotation for evening and weekend support.
What We're Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of experience working specifically for a licensed non-medical caregiving agency - not home health, hospice, doctor's offices, or assisted living facilities
  • Direct experience with caregiver scheduling, staffing, and case coordination in a home care setting
  • Proven experience recruiting, interviewing, and hiring caregivers , either independently or in collaboration with a team
  • Experience working remotely and managing a fast-paced, communication-heavy workload
  • Comfortable conducting both caregiver and client meetings virtually , being on camera, and working at your desk for most of the day
  • Highly organized , detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities without losing track
  • Tech-savvy and confident using online platforms, scheduling systems, and internal documentation tools
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Why Join Tandem:
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance to keep you covered.
  • 401(k) with Company Match: Invest in your future with our 401(k) program and company contribution.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO because balance matters.
  • Fully Remote: Work from anywhere while staying tightly connected to your team.
  • Well-Structured Role: You'll know what's expected, have clear workflows, and the tools you need to succeed.
  • Mission-Driven Work: You'll play a vital role in making sure every case is staffed with the right caregiver and set up for long-term success.
Ready to Join Us?

If you're looking for a dynamic, caregiver-centered role where you'll stay busy, support meaningful care, and help build a better home care experience - we'd love to meet you.

Job Description

Job Description

Job Description

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • Opportunity for advancement
  • Training & development

Greetings everyone! I hope that you are well and enjoying the last bit of the summer!
My name is Doris. I am an experienced Operations Coordinator for a private & personalized caregiving company. My office is in East Hartford.
I serve a special segment of the population: very busy professionals, top-level executives, and retired people who used to hold important positions.

My type of client has one big problem, and that is why I am posting here today.
Their problem is that their lives are full and busy, and they dont have enough time to care for their aging parents. For some of them, there are two generations in one home, meaning that they try to help their parents, but work pulls them away sometimes with short notice.
My role is to help them build a small team of 2-3 caregivers they can work closely with and trust to help them three to five times a week for shifts that are as short as 2 hours or as long as twelve or even twenty hours.

I am looking for stay-at-home moms who can work for a few hours while the kids are in school or allied health and nursing students because having flexible part-time work that is compatible with a heavy school load or work where you get paid the next business day can really come in handy.
Having been in this industry for two decades, I understand what it means to try to go to school and have to work. Students need flexible hours so they can earn while they learn.
Are you a stay-at-home mom or nursing or allied health student looking for a flexible job that fits around your school schedule?

I invite you to join my Back-Up Care Team and enjoy a rewarding work experience that offers flexibility, quick pay, and career-building opportunities.

Whats in it for you?

Here are the top five reasons why stay-at-home moms and students love working on my team:
1.Choose Your Schedule & Location: I know how busy life can be. Thats why you get to pick the days and locations that best suit your lifework a few days a week, and well take care of the rest.
2.Flexible Pay Options: Need money fast? I offer various pay options, including daily pay, so if you work today, you can get paid the next business day.
3.Enjoyable Work Environment: My clients arent acutely ill, making the care experience both fun and fulfilling. Youll be helping people in a way that truly makes a difference.
4.Tailored Client Matching: I carefully match you with clients to ensure your work is enjoyable and rewarding and helps you meet your financial and career goals.
5.Great Benefits, Even Part-Time: I believe in taking care of my team, so I offer a robust benefits program available even to part-time employees.

Requirements:
Must be kind, gentle, and dependable with 2 great references.
Must be enrolled in a nursing or allied health program.
Compassionate, reliable, and ready to make a difference.
Availability to work 2-5 days per week.

Interested?
Dont miss out on this fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, earn money quickly, and enjoy a flexible work schedule.
Respond with a good phone number and an email that you check regularly, and I shall call you today but no later than tomorrow.

HERE IS WHAT TO EXPECT: I will call you to make sure that this is a great fit for you. Next, you and I will schedule a time to meet at my office in East Hartford. We will do a brief face-to-face interview, and if you like what I tell you, can pass a 10-panel drug screen, and have two great references, you will be able to start working in just a few days.

Thanks, and I am looking forward to meeting you and having you on my team.
