Job SummaryThe classification of Supervisor Cargo Services includes managing, coordinating and controlling all aspects of a cargo operation overseeing all operational activities including the functions described below; monitors the quantity and quality of work performance; directing personnel within assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; participating in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; training subordinates, ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations, Company standards and contractual agreements; ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements. This position may include responsibility for communication between individual customers and the Company. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge. Ensures they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect. The scope of the job may vary with the size of the operation and its primary line of business.
Cargo Service Functions Responsible for cargo warehousing, including receiving, dispatching and staging airfreight, air mail and other cargo at air freight docks and other cargo facilities; operating motorized vehicles as related to the operation; routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, equipment and facilities with or without powered equipment; and other duties and functions related to the foregoing.
Responsibilities- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ramp Service Functions:
Includes the following: loading and unloading of cargo (mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material) on and off aircraft; the transporting of cargo between terminals and aircraft; the ramp transfers of cargo where required; the receiving, delivering, and physical handling of freight and company material, export at the designated express docks, mail and baggage in the outbound baggage room; the completion of forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations of the functions described. The cleaning and servicing of cabin interiors, including cockpit and lavatories; draining lavatories; checking, handling, assembling, removing and installing passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies. Transporting such furnishings and supplies to and from aircraft. Assisting in loading, unloading and racking both filled and empty drums. In addition, de-ice aircraft clean aircraft windshields, pushout/tow aircraft and related guide man functions; connect/remove ground power and ground start units. May be required to clean the exterior of aircraft with specialized cleaning fluids. May be assigned to perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment. May be assigned to assist in monitoring security of facility. May be assigned to do routine automotive repair; servicing and cleaning of powered and unpowered equipment.

The Shipping Supervisor needs to ensure that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner. What Success Looks Like:
* Own the outbound execution plan, balancing labor, volume, and dock availability.
* Prioritize workload based on commitments, customer urgency, and labor availability.
* Coordinate with transportation and customer service to ensure flow to carrier pickup.
* Manage team for performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
* Ensure standard operating procedures are followed in outbound activities.
* Monitor and make adjustments to daily progress.
* Lead daily wrap-ups to prepare for next shift.
* Tracks KPIs
* Perform root cause analysis for missed shipments.
* Communicate effectively with planning, customer service, and transportation teams.
* Lead huddles to ensure alignment around commitments and workload distribution.
* Proactively identify inefficiencies in outbound flow and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
* Recommend labor and process changes to improve throughput and reduce delays.
* Strong planning and organizational skills.
* Ability to create and execute plans.
* Solid understanding of warehouse operations.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* Strong communication skills across levels and functions.
Your Credentials:
* 3-5 years of experience in a distribution or logistics environment.
* 1-2 years in a leadership role with supervisory experience.
* Knowledge of SAP (EWM preferred), Excel, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 with the potential to earn an annual bonus.
