Responsibilities include:
- Perform all phases of construction and remodeling tasks including demolition, framing, drywall, painting, carpentry (rough and finish), and carpet installation across County facilities, including Corrections.
- Conduct repair and renovation work as needed in various County buildings.
- Create material lists, obtain cost estimates, and manage delivery of parts and materials to job sites.
- Coordinate project schedules with building occupants and contractors to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain records, warranty documentation, and complete all required project paperwork.
- Inspect contractor work in collaboration with Facilities Compliance Maintenance Specialists.
- Ensure contractor compliance with County specifications and applicable Building, Safety, and Environmental codes.
Work Hours:
- Monday - Friday
- 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- *On-call required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience in residential or commercial construction.
- A valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire.
Physical Demands:
- May occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Must be fit tested for a respirator.

What You Will Do
Some core responsibilities for a Carpenter General Foreman include:
- Strong knowledge of torque tools, procedures, and best practices
- Ability to lead multiple foremen and crews
- Assign job tasks to each foreman and ensure that each foreman is properly trained
- Being a safety role model for the team
- Enforcing OPD and client specific safety policies and procedures on the jobsite
- Anticipate and recognize potential safety and environmental concerns and report them to the OPD Superintendent.
- Providing records of work completed to the OPD superintendent
- Communicate with OPD Superintendent as required for material requirements and to schedule NDE for pipe and vessel welding.
- Verify all material is onsite
- Coordinate with other area GF's on planning.
- Write and submit RFI's that are requested from the area foremen.
We expect all field employees to:
- Actively participate in a strong safety culture
- Recognize safety hazards and risks
- Participate in onsite safety meetings
- Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures
- Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
- Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work

Some physical demands of being a Carpenter General Foreman include:
- Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
- Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs
- Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day. Breaks are given in 2.5 hour intervals
- Moving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.
- Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- At least 2 years of experience as a General Foreman
- At least 4 years of experience as a Carpenter
- Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment
- Previous experience leading teams of 40-50 people
Other Job Requirements
- Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times.
- Must be willing and able to attend and/or lead employee safety meetings
- Must be able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
- Must be able to meet all physical demands of the job
What Will Put You Ahead
- Five or more years of previous experience as a General Foreman
- 8 or more years of experience as a Carpenter

Job Description:
Wood Framing, drywall hang, case work and trim, stairs. backing and blocking, door frame install, and hardware, ability to read blueprints is a plus, minimum 1 year or more of carpentry experience, reliable transportation a plus (carro bueno), to ols to complete tasks, good communication skill.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 month - 1 year of Commercial Carpentry experience on a Commercial Construction environment. Basic power and hand tools to complete tasks assigned. Reliable transportation. Good communication skills.
