This position is a full time role (four, 10-hour shifts) The shift is: 1pm-1130pm, with rotating Weekends and Holidays. Radiology candidates who accept a part-time or full-time position with University Hospitals are eligible for: Competitive hourly rate Enhanced PTO for candidates with 5+ years of relevant work experience Sign-on bonus ($10,000 for full-time or $5,000 for part-time). Patient care during visit to CT according to expected service excellence standards. Use administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department. Adheres to hospital CT safety standards. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics. The Imaging department at Wilcox Health, recently named the Wilcox Family Imaging Center, is a full-service department providing routine and specialized imaging and/or therapeutic procedures for inpatient, outpatient and emergency patients. The department is staffed seven days a week, 24-hours-a-day. Board-certified physician radiologists provide quality care and timely interpretation of radiographic procedures. Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer.
Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.
- Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
