In this role you will be a key member of Medtronic's center-led Indirect Supply Management (ISM) team and will report to the Sr. Sourcing Manager of Global Capital. This is a role that provides the opportunity to identify and execute value-driven strategies across many functions, regions, and businesses. These strategies will leverage Medtronic's global scale to drive year over year value within the Capital sub-categories. In this role, you will partner with the center-led business engagement teams to implement pan-Medtronic category strategies across the globe.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Develop and execute strategies across subcategories of the Capital portfolio that utilize multiple levers/approaches to drive value and result in a sustainable competitive advantage
+ Work independently and build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
+ Adept at collaborating with and influencing diverse stakeholders to develop and execute strategies. Skilled in navigating and leveraging complex matrixed organizational structures like Medtronic to drive successful outcomes
+ Gather market intelligence and analyze trends for the responsible subcategories to support strategy building and execution, and inform strategic decision-making
+ Achieve (year-on-year) value improvements for all aspects of quality, service, innovation, and cost
+ Perform RF(x) events to drive competitive pressure and ensure maximum value is realized
+ Partner closely with key functions that support supply management (e.g., legal, finance, quality/compliance)
+ Lead in Supplier Relationship Management activities for the responsible subcategories
+ Lead contract negotiations
+ Recommend solutions to business problems and/or identify opportunities for improvement, and present ideas to leadership
+ Educate on key indirect supply management initiatives and policies
+ Develop robust data gathering and data quality maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency and support development of baseline for sourcing cost reduction efforts

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
Minimum 4 years relevant experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$2,400.00 - 123,600.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
