Job Responsibilities

Perform routine duties of preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment, assist other maintenance personnel, and perform general housekeeping of the maintenance shop and job site.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment through the enforcement of housekeeping safety policies. Perform general
  • Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals, and environment.
  • Operate, maintain and make minor repairs to plant production equipment, involving the replacement of worn, broken or defective parts, utilizing manuals, prints, sketches, written and/or verbal instructions. Perform duties such as fabricating, developing, assembling and/or repair of production equipment. Perform or assist on machine set-ups for production, as necessary. Perform basic electrical, fuse, circuit breaker, motor start overload, line voltage, etc. checks. Perform PM's on all types of equipment.
  • Check and follow-up on all repairs and/or adjustments. Monitor performance of plant equipment and minimize unscheduled maintenance downtime. Account for tasks, activities and parts usages utilizing MP2.
  • Perform routine safety checks of production equipment. Take action on any unsafe or out of compliance issues. Report major equipment problems and lockout/tagout situations to Maintenance Supervisor or Production Facilitator.
  • Pump Ward and Flexo pits and work with waste hauler emptying the holding tanks.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools (including shop welding and cutting equipment).
  • Other related and similar duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Have good oral and written communication skills. Successfully pass mechanical aptitude exams.
  • Successfully complete and pass required lift truck operation tests and training, and obtain and maintain appropriate lift truck licensing.
  • Able to pay close attention to detail and follow instructions/procedures to meet quality standards.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks (including physical requirements as described below) on a consistent basis.
  • Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance. Available to work overtime as needed, including weekend work. Available for mandatory overtime as appropriate based on business demands.
  • Able to fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
  • Able to work in a team environment by assisting in facilitating job duties for other team members. Demonstrate a positive attitude. Able to work in a machine paced, team environment, requiring a customer orientation.
  • Have prior mechanical and manufacturing experience. Must have at least two years of experience in a related position.
  • Possess sufficient keyboard and PC literacy to accurately complete work orders in eMaint.
  • Possess basic electrical knowledge.

The Field Service Manage r assists with coordinating third-party merchandising for all Readerlink serviced accounts. This individual will provide internal operational support for third party merchandising companies and the auditors.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Provide daily management of operational items related to field service, including managing of vendor KPI's, monitoring store issues, service ticket entry and resolution, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate regular calls with vendors and lead the discussion by setting an agenda and flagging priority items for prompt resolution.

  • Monitor the economy and market conditions that could impact the RDS costs for field service.
  • Possess full understanding of Readerlink customer expectations.
  • Assist in the management of regular communication with merchandiser teams, working with ReaderLink Sales to draft a statement of work and post to the field.
  • Scrutinize vendor invoices and submit to leadership for approval.
  • Provide RDS with valuable business intelligence obtained from audits and service vendor KPI's.
  • Administer operational audits, evaluating RDS procedures and processes to streamline and improve efficiencies.
  • Monitor store issues, including openings, remodels, and complaints, to ensure appropriate resolution.
  • Schedule regular Vendor meetings to maintain overall merchandising excellence and maximize sales.
  • Assist with the development of tools to streamline service execution, including reporting, videos, training documents, & applications.
  • Participate in vendor and customer calls/meetings as needed. Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient execution.

What You Will Need:

  • Associate's degree in Business or a related field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in Field Merchandising is required.
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of computer software including Excel and Word required.
  • Willingness to travel as needed up to 20%.

The Field Service Manager for Lifecycle Services will provide strategic decisions, enhance the quality of services offered to customers, as well as develop a team of skilled technicians. The Field Service Manager will direct and coordinate customer service activities personally or through direct reports and ensure all processes and procedures are followed and understood by the service team.

The Field Service Manager will develop and execute initiatives to grow service and parts revenue and is responsible in managing KPIs in a service territory and enact and seek opportunities and improvements to improved territory P&L. The Field Service Manager will exhibit the ability to act in a leadership role and have the proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct management of field service technicians' activities across the various Duravant operating companies
  • Oversee the allocation of technician resources and their overall effective utilization including implementing standards and processes for improvement.
  • Work with various regional Lifecycle Services and operating company teams to determine and implement robust cross-training initiatives.
  • Assure ongoing safety, compliance and investigate any accidents or injuries and prepare report findings including overseeing worker training in safety, repair and maintenance techniques, operational procedures or equipment use for optimal organizational effectiveness.
  • Implementation of Lean Management principles to improve overall efficiency and reduction of waste.
  • Actively communicate with customers and work alongside the customer service team to ensure an industry-leading level of customer service.
  • Coordinate and work with the customer service team to drive value added parts and service sales and customer awareness. These items include but are not limited to preventative maintenance, training, and retrofit and machine upgrade kits.
  • Ensure team expenses, utilization, and performance align with budget and revenue projections. Reduce warranty costs.
  • Coordinate timely communication / documentation between operations and engineering for escalations and critical projects.
  • Lead employee performance reviews and design improvement plans based on individual employee development needs and also recommend or initiate personnel actions such as hires, terminations, disciplinary measures, or worker job-skill improvement.
  • Take ownership of outstanding customer issues and work with the proper internal teams to ensure they are closed as quickly as possible.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • An Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • 5 years' of experience directly managing people, preferably in an industrial machine manufacturing plant or similar industry
  • Thorough knowledge of equipment manufacturing processes with demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge of manufacturing equipment including designs, repairs and maintenance.
  • Proven communication ability to build and lead effective and diverse teams across various territories.
  • Experience leading teams in handling customer issue resolution and developing plans for improvement through root cause analysis.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Relevant experience with ERP/CRM applications is a bonus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

**MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS**
**Education & Experience**
+ AS degree in electronics or equivalent High School education with related training/experience
+ Trade school or field experience working on heavy equipment. Hydraulics, electronics etc.
+ Comfortable around heavy construction equipment.
+ Specific MC installation experience would be ideal.
**Knowledge, Skills & Attributes**
+ Mechanically inclined. Familiar 12volt and 24 volt power on Heavy equipment. Welding experience, Heavy equipment operation. Familiar with electro mechanical circuitry.
+ Prior experience working on cars and other similar things is helpful. In general the person shall be comfortable around hydraulics, Electronics, Diesel etc.
+ Electronics experience desired.
**Physical Requirements**
Must be physically capable of climbing onto large equipment. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
**Working Conditions**
Willing to travel. 60% of the time installs will be outside in the rain, cold, heat.

In Service Operations we like to say Outage is a Team Sport. Every successful outage starts with a winning bid and a proven execution plan, and then requires constant support and follow-though from the entire organization before breaker-open and beyond breaker-shut. As a Service Field Engineer you will travel to power stations and lead teams of technicians and craft labor to effect repairs and upgrades to critical power generation equipment during both planned and required outages. Work on these units is typically 24/7 and lasts from weeks to months. The field engineer role is responsible for the safe technical execution of the project as well as assisting the project manager meet the commercial requirements and maintaining excellent customer relationship!
**How You'll Make an Impact**
+ Lead Field Service teams at customer power plant sites around the country and world servicing, upgrading and modifying their turbine generators and associated auxiliary equipment during planned and forced service outages.
+ Develop detailed outage plans, schedules, budgets, and spend plans to support district service offices in implementing outages
+ Liaise with the district, Sales, and Marketing teams, other product line estimating teams, frame owners, engineering, and related technical specialists to define mechanical scope of work, division of responsibilities (DOR), and customer specific requirements.
+ Maintain and continuously improve the functionality, accuracy, and precision of estimating tools and supporting data through evaluation and analysis of performance data from outages, implementing quality control measures, and capturing feedback from internal customers.
+ Evaluate cost management proposals, support new products and services, lead related special projects, and develop planning templates to support field project managers.
+ Lead internal projects, facilitate and collaborate in multi-functional teams, and present recommendations up to and including the executive leadership team.
