Job Description
Duties include reviewing and editing intelligence reports, situational updates, and briefings for grammar, clarity, and consistency, as well as ensuring intelligence products meet established formatting, style, and security classification guidelines. The role includes responsibility to verify accuracy and integrity of information before dissemination, maintain consistency in language, tone, and structure across reports to enhance readability and effectiveness.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment to support intelligence production and publication. The role features daily collaboration with analysts, watch officers, and leadership to refine content under tight deadlines, ensure timely distribution of intelligence reports to relevant stakeholders and leadership. The Production Editor role also manages version control and ensure appropriate security markings on all products.

Required/Preferred:
+ At least 1 years' experience in a production support role with experience liaising with intelligence analysts, watch officers, and technical teams to improve product quality as well as providing guidance on editorial best practices and formatting requirements.
+ Bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience in editorial review, technical writing, intelligence reporting, or a related field.
+ Experience assisting in the development and refinement of reporting templates and style guides.
+ Experience supporting briefings and presentations by ensuring clarity and coherence of written materials.
+ Strong command of grammar, syntax, and editorial standards.
+ Experience working in a high-tempo, classified environment.

BAE Systems is seeking Content Editors to support our government customer at Reston, VA and Patrick Space Force Base, FL.
These Content Editors will be working in a classified environment and will serve as the OSINT SME for security and declassification. Responsibilities will include:
+ Draft Security Classification Guides (SCGs) in accordance with DoD Manual5200.01 Volume 1: DoD Information Security Program Overview and DoD Manual 5200.45 Instructions for Developing Security Classification Guides.
+ Participate in program and project planning efforts to evaluate the need for security requirements.
+ Prepare SCG staff packages for routing and approval.
+ Facilitate a standardized and efficient classification management program at the Unclassified, Controlled, SECRET, and TS//SCI levels.
+ Review classification guidance generated to ensure that specific and correct guidance is available to users.
+ Interpret or develop general policy direction for application on an organization-wide basis and conduct oversight reviews on the effectiveness of classification management programs and policies for assigned projects/programs.
+ Develop and implement guidelines to meet DoD, DIA, and IC regulations. Review Service and other SCGs as needed to inform actions.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Mid-level: Bachelor s degree in a related intelligence area with 8 years of experience in intelligence related field with government security policy experience within the last 2 years, or 10 years of experience
+ Senior: Master s degree in a related intelligence area with 12 years of experience in intelligence related field with government security policy experience within the last 2 years, or a Bachelor s degree with 17 years of experience
+ Knowledgeable of and demonstrate ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
+ Prior military or government analytical experience
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Graduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., U.S. Army OBC, OS301/OS302, CASO, defense or IC equivalent (DIA BOTC, FBI OS101).
+ Experience conducting intelligence analytical support for the IC/DoD

**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Reviewing approximately 100 products monthly and recommending revisions or changes in approaches, scope, format, methods of production, and dissemination.
+ Editing intelligence products, reports, briefings, proposals, procedures, and related materials.
+ Maintaining corporate standards for publications and archiving records, files, and electronic media in accordance with established standards.
+ Consulting with team leads and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure a common understanding of products and related materials.
+ Selecting or recommending layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, illustrations, charts, or storyboards to amplify or clarify product objectives.
+ Auditing and reviewing products periodically to determine whether format or content changes/updates are required.
+ Comprehensively editing products for content (completeness, accuracy, and appropriate language) and form (organization, visual design, and usability) using software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
+ Proofreading final drafts to ensure all corrections have been made and templates have been implemented.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ A minimum of 5+ **(7+ highly preferred)** years of established and verifiable experience editing intelligence products according to Intelligence Community Directives (ICD). Examples of intelligence products include intelligence information reports, intelligence assessments, threat assessments, briefings, and other intelligence-related correspondence.
