About this opportunity
The Legal Coordinator will have a wide variety of responsibilities pertaining to legal issues within the Risk Management Department including legal research, document preparation, legal invoicing review, weekly/monthly reporting, and customer contract review.
Pay and Schedule
This position is Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. The pay range is $50,000 to $70,000/year dependent on experience.

How will you contribute to the success of the team?
- Provide administrative support such as maintaining reports for leadership, regulatory research related to transportation
- Conduct detailed review of various contracts, leases and agreements that the company is entering into or renewing
- Create, prepare and distribute various reports on key performance indicators
- Coordinate responses to legal request, subpoenas or document production
Skills Needed
- All Microsoft Office programs
- Understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills
- Heavy organization skills
- Ability to work with motivation and independence
- Experience communicating with law enforcement, attorneys and courts is preferred but not required

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Manager (non attorney) to lead our legal department with a focus on contested matters and litigation strategy. In this role, you will oversee case management, supervise a team of legal professionals, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will play a critical role in minimizing legal risk, maximizing recovery efforts, and safeguarding the organization’s interests while fostering strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Oversight
- Manage and direct the legal department in handling all contested matters.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop legal staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Design and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Oversee the preparation, filing, and management of pleadings, motions, and other case-related documents.
- Provide timely legal guidance to leadership and operations teams regarding case progress and strategic options.Client Communication & Advisory
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding contested matters.
- Provide clear and concise status updates, legal recommendations, and settlement options.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, and settlement agreements.
- Partner with operations, compliance, and client service teams to align legal strategies with organizational goals.
- Support internal stakeholders by ensuring legal risks are identified and addressed proactively.
- Monitor changes in legislation and legal precedents, advising leadership on potential impacts.
- Update and implement internal policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential legal risks across contested matters and recovery efforts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in litigation, experience in creditor’s rights/collections a plus.
- Prior leadership or management experience overseeing legal teams preferred.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance.

• Support project management on enterprise wide business intelligence applications and architecture. Develops project charters, plans, deliverables, and other project artifacts.
• Work under the direction of a lead Project Manager to support a large team of technical resources across a wide range of projects.
• Works closely with the project sponsor and IT management to understand and prioritize project tasks. Solves technical problems. Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs a feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives in support of enterprise-wide business intelligence.

A strong understanding Kimball Data Warehouse design principals, experience in gathering requirements for data warehouse projects, and experience in design and development of data warehouse projects is required. Any experience with advanced analytics is preferred.
