Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in Newark, DE and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate key routines in the agile discipline (stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.)
  • Manage features, stories, success criteria, tasks and hours in Rally
  • Assist with story grooming and back-log management
  • Manage team capacity and velocity to optimize iterations

Requirements:
  • Agile Scrum Master with 5+ years' experience with 7+ years in a technical solution delivery role
  • Strong experience with multiple delivery methodologies required, including SAFE Agile, SDLC and Waterfall
  • Crisp oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to different levels of audience, both technical and non-technical
  • Expert level understanding of lean-agile principles and frameworks; including some level of agile coaching
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with metrics gathering/reporting and formulating action plans based on the data
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, negotiation, facilitation, collaboration, presentation & training skills
  • Ability to speak to both technical and business concerns
  • Comfortable giving feedback to the team on how they can improve in their Agile implementation
  • Flexible and support tasks other than Scrum Master should the need arise

Key Responsibilities:

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.

  • Foster a collaborative environment, effectively managing dependencies across geographically distributed teams

  • Solicit guidance from stakeholders on agile methodologies to ensure best practices are followed

What we're seeking
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in a software development environment
  • 3 years of experience in agile project management with scrum
  • 2 years in the retail banking domain
  • 2 years of experience working with geographically distributed teams
  • 3 years of experience in facilitating scrum ceremonies
  • 1 year of experience working with Azure DevOps/MS Team Foundation Server
