Job Description
The Test Engineer will be responsible for the research and development of testing protocols and equipment required to support the testing of finished consumer goods in a laboratory environment. They will support the Lab Managers and Product Engineers to determine the most applicable testing procedures for a product. The Test Engineer will be familiar with existing industry testing standards and monitor these for updates. They will develop new standards as needed to support the business. They will drive continuous improvement activities within the lab. They will develop SOPs for lab testing and functions. The Test Engineer will need to be mechanically inclined and help develop, set up, maintain, and operate tests and test equipment that supports new testing capabilities in the lab that are not yet established. They will need to train the lab team in any new testing methods developed. They will drive the development of the LIMSey lab management software with feedback from the Sr Lab Manager and lab team. The Test Engineer will champion lab safety by providing oversight with lab safety protocols and training.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ 35% Test Standards Research and Development - Research existing and new industry test standards to support the Lab Managers and Product Engineers with testing programs. Monitor existing industry standards for new revisions. Develop new standards and SOP's to implement into product test programs.
+ 35% New Capability Test Design - Research and provide test designs for new testing capabilities for the lab. Monitor new testing technologies and recommend the purchase of new equipment. Develop new automation for testing as needed. Develop and/or set up test fixtures and document test procedures based on both internal and industry standards. Develop Standard Operation Procedures to evaluate targeted functionality and provide test consistency as required. Provide training for new techniques to the lab team.
+ 5% Test Execution - For new testing protocols and equipment, perform and document the testing based on both internal and industry standards. Ensure test design follows lab Standard Operating Procedures as applicable and that all activities are completed on time. Train the lab team to transition that testing to the technicians.
+ 10% Continuous Improvement - lead continuous improvement projects within the test lab.
+ 10% LIMSey Development and Support - work with LIMSey software team to develop the functionality of the LIMSey (lab information management software). Act as the liaison between the lab team and LIMSey team to address any issues detected by the lab team.
+ 5% Lab Safety Oversight - Review existing lab safety procedures and provide feedback to the Sr Lab Manager for needed improvements. Participate on the lab safety committee. Provide annual training to the lab associates on lab safety as required.

Demonstrated experience in DOD-related test programs is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate the skills necessary to operate and maintain instrumentation and equipment required to launch, track, position, and evaluate air and space vehicles. As a Test Engineer Lead, you will leverage instrumentation and software knowledge to become a subject matter expert (SME) in the hardware and software of large plant control system; including serving as the leader and SME overall responsible for a 3-5 person team working the design acceptance, installation, and sustainment of the sensors, signals, cabling, junction boxes, I/O devices, and software. A BA/BS degree and 8-10 years' of related experience are required. The successful candidate will have a desire to work in a hands-on and collaborative environment. Pay and Benefits

**Job Summary**
The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for performing requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, verification, and validation of automated test equipment, manual test program sets, and embedded diagnostic test applications. Key responsibilities include developing and/or refining test procedures and reports, as well as designing and fabricating test fixtures for systems, assemblies, and circuit card assemblies. **Job Responsibilities**
+ Analyze embedded military instrumentation and control systems to determine appropriate test methods
+ Design test environments including design or selection of test fixtures, test equipment, cables and components
+ Write detailed test procedures for qualification testing and/or production testing
+ Oversee execution of test strategies
+ Perform product qualification testing
+ Create test summary reports on testing performed
+ Revise all test documents as required to address all customer comments
+ Provide Design for Testability input during design reviews

**Qualifications**

+ Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with the engineering community.
+ Familiar with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
+ Capable of working seamlessly with engineering teams across multiple product lines.
+ Skilled at managing and addressing multiple issues concurrently.
+ Experience with agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
+ Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Cameo.
+ Hands-on experience in areas such as purchasing, quality control, manufacturing engineering, and test.
+ Expertise in developing automated test and measurement systems using NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
+ Demonstrates diligence, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
+ Willingness to work off-shift hours as needed during testing phases.

THE WORK
Provide day to day Operations test support to test technicians on the manufacturing test floor to assure quality, cost and schedule goals are met.
Provide Test Engineering support for test development, integration, FAT, ESS, CCA troubleshooting and verification.
Support investigations and communicate results for design, test and process related CCA or cable issues as required.
Analyze defect data to develop trends to aid in implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
Support development of test procedures and test support equipment drawings to support product test.
Support integration and debug of test equipment and assets
