· Basic knowledge of boilers and heating systems
· Must be able to obtain or currently have all background clearances (Federal, PA State, & Child Abuse).

· Ability to stand, stoop, reach and bend; mobility of arms to reach, dexterity of hands to grasp and manipulate large and small objects
· Ability to lift, push and/or pull objects, which may approximate 50 pounds

- Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat, clean and safe at all times.
- Regulates heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity.
- Checks daily to ensure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during the hours of building occupancy.
- Sweeps classrooms daily and dusts furniture.
- Cleans corridors after school each day, and during the day when their condition requires it.
- Scrubs, hoses down, and disinfects toilet floors daily, and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
- Washes all windows on both inside and outside at least twice each year, and more frequently if necessary.
- Keeps the grounds free from rubbish.
- Cleans all chalkboards at least once a week.
- Report major repairs needed promptly to the Facilities Coordinator and/or Facilities Manager.
- Maintain the school's exterior grounds, including trash pickup(similar to #8)
- Assist with painting, minor carpentry, and other small repair projects
- Assist in classroom setup and furniture repairs
- Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, offices, administration areas, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum and clean door windows and stairwells daily
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms
- Monitor and maintain security of the building by locking/unlocking doors at designated times.

- Check all doors throughout the day to ensure all doors are locked and report any repairs to the Facilities Manager
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the Dean of Safety, Security and Facilities
- Assist with setting up and taking down equipment, chairs, and tables for school events and activities
- Ensure even spaces are clean and ready for use before and after events
- Keep inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies, reporting shortages to the Manager of Facilities
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems such as lighting and plumbing to ensure proper function
- Work closely with custodial staff, teachers, and administration to ensure the facility meets the needs of the school community
- Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by the Manager of Facilities or Supervisor of Facilities
- Ensure walkways, entrances and grounds are clean, clear and safe for daily use.
