**General Purpose of Job**
Our summer intern program is tailored to individuals who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited four-year college or university. The internships run from May to August - dependent on the school calendar. The goal of the Indorama Intern Program is to provide a structured program that will equip interns with the skills and experience to help prepare for a successful career.
Under close supervision, intern will be responsible for providing technical support to assigned area(s). After initial orientation, intern will be assigned to Production Engineering or Process Engineering in continuous production units, batch process or utilities.
**Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities**
+ At the end of the internship, the intern is required to give a project assignments presentation to the Site Leadership Team.
+ Support engineers in performance of assignments, both project and day-to-day workings of engineering
+ Provide status updates to mentor/engineer on project assignments
+ Under management supervision, ensure that activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements).
+ Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
+ Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
+ Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
+ Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs.
**Education / Experience / Skills Requirements**
+ Must be a full-time college student at the Junior or Senior level by the end of Spring 2026, currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering
+ 3.0 GPA or higher required
**Specific certifications, licenses, or registrations:**
+ Must be authorized to work in U.S. and not require work authorization sponsorship for this position or in the future.

**SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT**
+ Work Schedule: This is an onsite role with a mandatory 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, working an 8-hour shift each day.
+ In this internship position, you will be working in a cement manufacturing/production environment. Within this environment, you will be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and more.
+ You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from your worksite for the summer.
+ Throughout the duration of your internship, you may be required to travel for site tours, shadow experiences, or intern events.
